    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Seems to be working great in my Arabia game too. The stability tracking kicked in earlier than I recall with Byzantium (around turn 20-25 I think rather than around 37). For now it seems to be working well... I'm leaning toward the reinstallation helping, but either way, I'm just glad it works...

    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Wow, well I'm not sure, but it looks like I finally got it to track my stability. At first, I thought that it wasn't working after I did a fresh reinstallation of BTS, because when I started a game in 600 AD as the Byzantines, my stability remained at the same level, 0 Shaky, without...

    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

The challenge is that I encounter the issue immediately when starting a new game, right from turn 1. It isn't that the stability at some point goes to 0/Shaky and gets stuck there, unfortunately that's where it begins at. I tried playing the Moors save I mentioned I had. Loading that save, the...

    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Hmm, at the moment that document just shows up as blank. Should I start a new game and try playing it? Or load the Moroccan game and switch to a different Civ after a few turns? I think I tried both for a few turns after enabling Python errors, but so far nothing shows up in the PythonErr.log...

    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Here is the PythonDbg file in case it's helpful (based on what I saw you note in your opening post). I put it in a "rar" archive because it didn't seem to let me upload a regular text document. Hope the answer is somewhere in there and thanks for trying to figure this out!

    Bug Reports and Technical Issues

Hello all! Unfortunately I've encountered a strange stability problem while running the mod. For some reason, stability remains at (0) Shaky, no matter what civilization I play with (tried several). I tried several of the things that are supposed to initiate stability checks (like changing...

[Religion and Revolution]: Feedback and Questions

Hello everyone, I wanted to check if anyone was aware of an Americas map that had fixed starting locations for the natives (accurate placement, so that the Inca are on the West Coast of South America, the Aztecs in Mexico and the Huron in Canada). I have tried playing the maps that come with...

    [Religion and Revolution]: Mod Development

I was very pleased to read that there was interest in making the various Cannon units professions, rather than simply units on their own. One of my favourite concepts within Civ4Col was that every soldier that you wanted to have meant that you needed to reduce your...

    Comprehensive Stability Guide/Explanation

Thanks for sharing that link with me too. All this has helped me to better comprehend the way the stability mechanics work.

    Comprehensive Stability Guide/Explanation

Perfect, this looks just like the kind of resource I was looking for! Even if it is no longer completely accurate, I think it will help inform me about the ways that stability works and what types of actions or events might impact it.

    Comprehensive Stability Guide/Explanation

Thank you Blizzrd, you've been a huge help so far. One other question about the Civilopedia article... Do you recall the name of the article and the Civilopedia section it is in? I checked there, and I saw one on how the new Civics system works in DoC, as well as the tile related stability...

    Comprehensive Stability Guide/Explanation

Thank you for the comment. Just to clarify further, you're saying that you would still incur the penalty of liberating the city (lower stability because the city is "lost") but when you have enough cities (e.g. 20), you also get the bonus to counter balance it. Is the bonus for liberating a...

    Comprehensive Stability Guide/Explanation

Hello everyone, I recall seeing a DoC stability guide and explanation for civics, based on the changes in DoC, along with a reference about not including information for vanilla RFC stability features/components because that information was easy to find. I tried to look for it, including...

Thanks for clarifying that. I'm glad I can try them out right away :D.

    Here come the Mughals!

Hello everyone, In another thread, I read: I'm only recently discovering the mod and I am very excited to hear that there are plans to make the Mughals playable in the next version! Reading the mod's description, the fact that they were unplayable (unlike for example Byzantium), was...

    Shiggs Earth

Here's a tip to properly save files until a permanent solution is found: Check the "Steam Cloud" button and save them into the steam cloud. This is the temporary work around I have used and I seem to have been successful. Keep in mind it requires a connection to the internet/steam while playing.

That certainly is a fair argument, but I think the case for them being maritime is nevertheless quite strong. I would be fine with Carthage staying militaristic so long as Sidon for example is changed to maritime. Either the Phoenicians (Sidon) or Carthaginians should be recognized as a naval...

    Shiggs Earth

While I see what you're saying, I still think that some Maritime city states are necessary in the Mediterranean and Near East. As it stands, Lisbon is the only one even relatively nearby and it is located on the Atlantic. There is far too heavy a weight in Northern Europe (Oslo, Stockholm...

No problem, I'm happy you found some of it helpful. Shortly after writing that post, I decided to see if I could make the changes myself. I modified the map file to move the Persian capital and also made two more minor changes. The updated Persian starting location was on top of an incense...
