    Favorite Dark Horse Civs

There's SO much that can be done with an Aboriginal Australian Civ. A completely unique culture in a region that's completely unrepresented thus far. I'd settle for an Australian Civ with some Aboriginal flavor at this point, honestly.

Venice and The Shoshone: First Gameplay and Impressions (Rev3)

A is unlikely (if you look at the bar before he pops it, he's got 0 Faith and +0 per turn), but B is pretty likely - didn't know there were stipulations.

Venice and The Shoshone: First Gameplay and Impressions (Rev3)

Looks like Faith isn't an option from the Ruins, though? That puts a bit of a damper on the early Religion game if so.

    +60 Achievements in BNW?

I believe they said the Shoshone Achievement is related to Sacajawea - not entirely sure what that'll entail.

What is your least favorite BNW civilization

Tough... I'd like to see one less European Civ, but Portugal deserves it most (despite being the least interesting), Venice is the most interesting (despite deserving it least), and I really like Poland's UA.

Personal interest in the nine newcomers.

    1) Brazil. They were my first big hope for the game - I've been taking classes on Brazilian history recently and they're just fascinating, a completely unique culture of the sort I really like. You have no idea how excited I was to see them confirmed! 2) Shoshone. New Native Americans! Whoo...

Betting and Speculation - The "Entirely Separate Hypercube" Civ!

Personally I'm excited! Venice seems like an interesting challenge - I doubt I'll be giving them much playtime myself, but you can say that about half of the Civs in the game (I'm not really big on warfare, so pretty much any war-focused Civ strikes me as pretty boring). I'll give them a spin...

Brave New World at 33% discount (20€)? Yes you can

I got Gods & Kings from GMG dirt cheap last winter (something crazy like $5), so I was planning on using them for Brave New World. Unless Steam offers TF2 hats or something. :p

Betting and Speculation - The "Entirely Separate Hypercube" Civ!

The Sioux with mobile cities would be amazing, and that's what I'm hoping for... but I'm still concerned with the Barbarian tomahawk unit. Maybe it's just a new barb, but I can't help but think that has something to do with it and I'm not enthused about the prospects there.

    Featurette 2- How's your German?

Ugh, I hope The Motherland Calls wasn't dropped. Such a beautiful statue.

    Barbarian Colour Change

I recall in one of the recent videos the "loading bar" was shown at the bottom, which would probably show what color the Barbarians are when the "Taking Barbarian Turn" bit comes up.

What Native American tribe do you expect/want?

I expect the Sioux, probably pulling for the Seminole... they'd introduce an interesting playstyle, very much pro-turtle. Sparseness of marshes might put a damper on that, though. Shawnee are definitely a possibility, one of the big players in post-Columbian America... Powhatan would be...

The Civ Atlas: BNW Civs, City-States and Wonders on maps

Just illustrates how sorely underrepresented Sub-Saharan Africa is... South America at least got Brazil, and as much as I appreciate Morocco and the Zulu, one's definitively Islamic, culturally, and the other isn't doing much to fill up the rest of the continent.

    Q&A with Dennis Shirk

My immediate thought was something North African, so possible the Moors... but Portugal makes sense and is pretty much a shoe-in. The mention of "tragic dynasty" does evoke Italy, though, so... hmm, I'm stumped. This one's a lot more exciting than Shaka, either way.

CIV name change over time in BNW?

I remember a Civilization IV mod that did something similar, but it was dependent on what civics you chose. So if you were Russia and picked Monarchy, you'd be "Kingdom of Russia" but if you stuck with Barbarism you'd be "Russian Tribe." If you picked the right combination of civics you could...

Oh man, what a tease with the Pueblo! That would have been awesome.

Brave New World's 9 new Civs

I'm starting to see Italy are more and more likely - the Africa Scenario would suit it, it's another European Civilization (which we're running low on for this release), and it sorts of reminds me of Sweden... culturally very similar to a Civilization already included, could probably have been...

Guess the Civs in the 2nd expansion - One World!

Working off of the One World theme and previous releases... Portugal Brazil Kongo Portugal is pretty much a lock. With the other two, we'd have the potential for a good scenario, add another South American Civ, diversify Africa a bit... good set. Zulu Sioux Hittites/Sumer All...

    [BtS]40 civs-allows colonies AND 34 civs

I'm having the same problem - no matter what angle I try, the game just quits trying to load before the mod starts. Is it a patch problem? Something missing from the files? It's a fresh install on a new computer, so that might be part of the problem (they always worked on my old one).

Discussion: Pedias, Great People, Tech Quotes, etc.

Alright, so, I've been watching Giant Robo: The Animation. Japanese series, six episodes, really awesome. Basic plot is this - the near-future world runs in Shizuma Drives, a super energy source that has no negative impact on the environment and, since its inception in 2029, everything on Earth...
