Yeah you really need to go all out to get late game production. You need to send all your trade routes to the city in question and you need to hook up whatever civic you need to give 50% reduction in cost of units/wonders you are making. Even then you are probably looking at 10 turn build time...

Ok for some reason when I attempted to run it today it worked! I ran the benchmark on Win10 Bootcamp and it ran at 30fps almost the whole time dropping to like 27 once or twice. Compared to the OSX version which was 15-10 fps. Much better.

I have a late 2013 iMac. 3.2 GHz i5 with 8MB ram and a NVIDIA 755 The game runs okay but the framerate is a disgusting 15 tops. Usually lower if anything at all is going on. I am trying to give it a shot on bootcamp but so far when I try to open the game I get an error about graphic card...

I got everything all set up to try the bootcamp route but when I try to open Civ I got a "no compatible graphic device" error even though the game runs fine on my OSX side. I tried googling for it and I couldn't find a good solution. Has anyone dealt with this?

I have 15FPS at 2560 resolution. I put it down to a lower settings and although the framerate is better now it crashes randomly.

Well I wont use the windows side for anything except civ so I feel like it should be pretty safe.

Does a special resource farm count as a farm for adjacency bonuses? Does a triangle of 2 farms and 1 rice farm perform the same as 3 regular farms (in terms of bonuses)?

Yeah I guess i am not HUGE on conquest/domination so I was not too afraid of land/sea/land transfers. I just kinda attacked the people close to me and minded my business. I did kill 2 civs. One adjacent to me, and one over a sea. It was great!
