We do this with a heavy heart. True, we wished to spread Socialism to North Africa but we can't sustain the losses the Holy Land, Maryland, and Egypt are. After doing some war planning, we realized that while we could quite possibly hold onto the North Atlantic and Coast of Iberia for a short while, Maryland/Egyptian naval production would eventually catch up. We didn't tip things decisively and we would be fighting a war of attrition. Looking at the stats, we realized that even when the Holy Land is pushing out 20 armies a year, they are still losing a massive force every year.

If, dread the day it does, Khitan decides to expand farther west, we realize that we would only have so much time before they reach our borders. Maybe just paranoia for now and in a few years, we hope that we're right. For now, we're watching carefully. Besides, we lack the wartime production of any of the powers at the moment.

With 4.5 million dead in 2 years isn't as bad as 20 million dead in Europe in WW1 in four years but its still terrible and, as the map suggests, most of the dying has been in a smaller area. We would prefer it stay in that area.

So, I take it that Egypt accepts? Do you speak for Maryland as the Defense leader or do they have to agree separately (if you agree)?

i have dealt with a fundamentalist female. i know what you mean. I am prepared for that. trust me.

if Israel takes a leave of his senses and claims Spain as the holy land, he will be destroyed without mercy. i might even raze Jerusalem if the holy land was arrogant enough.

Can you keep it out of Northeast Africa? I'd totally be fine with having you guys in the west.

And yes, I accept. We haven't exactly fought any battles, and you never formally declared war (but neither did the Holy Land :/).

This entire war is a testament to showing the Holy Land never had any sense in the first place.

And really, don't raze Jerusalem. I kind of plan on taking it. Might be nice. Maybe I'll build a Sphinx.

Thankee-Sai. Egypt seems forgiving enough. Maryland hasn't responded yet but its only been a few hours.

Maryland accepts Western Europe's white peace, but leaves them a fair warning not to go around making declarations of war unless your going to go through with it, as next time we won't be so forgiving. But with that ugly bit out of the way, we would like to offer them a free trade agreement and open borders.

DB didn't PM me nothing about sending the LPs (and you told me that he'd start sending them to you this turn which means you wouldn't get them to the start of next year).

OOC: A lot of you are still confusing how navies work. Let me simplifiy it. For each navy you own, you can control one sea province. When you "claim" a sea province, its as simple as saying its under your authority. You don't move one or two navies into it. It works like armies when it comes to combat purposes.
