You need to somehow make Viking prefer foraging the sea instead of land..
They were actually perhaps a fishing community that went to war and pillaging,
or at least some group whose sea is their main economic advantages..

Even though possible in-game,
I don't think they'll survive in reality controlling such cities in Kazakhstan..
(which is desert,no sea at all, ironically)

Oddly, they actually survived until about 1930s when Germany and I (Russia) declared war on them :hammer: :mwaha:
 
Yeah, it's pretty well known that all Scandinavians dry out if they don't visit an ocean once a week :D

All I notice is 2 great merchants appeared in Amsterdam 1 turn apart from each other, but they probably just discovered economics first :)
 
Looking at all those pics, I realizaed that I have none of the new civs- except Byzantium and a non-playable Italy, are available in my game. I mostly play DoC, and find this weird.

The civs like Mughal, Thailand, Indonesia, etc is because of DoC SVN..
It hasn't been released in official download yet.

Looking your picture,
I think Europe definitely needs Warsawa/Lithuania inside :hammer:
 
Right, get the SVN if you want to see them, or wait a little, I hope I get a releasable version finished soon, as promised.

Well, the Spanish empire is common, and the Portugese empire is what i see in every game. ive seen the Portugese palace in SA many times, when the Spaniards conquer Lisboa.
BTW, Whats the OMG in the first pic?
