Crown Prince Hisahito:
Japan, I stand before you all today will terrible news, my father, Emperor of Japan has passed away earlier today. As the Crown Prince I will be ascending the Japanese Throne, and I will be Japan's next Emperor. Although my father has died and we need a time of mourning my many new policies and plans shall be put into action immediately, time is of the essence and if Japan is indeed destined to become a Great East Asian Power, we cannot waste any valuable time implementing my new policies, this is why I will be presenting a docket of my policies to A Joint Session of the Japanese Diet later this week. Although I cannot present the full details of my Policies right now they include the enlargement of our glorious navy, renewed economic plans and our continued commitment to both the
UUPSPA and UUPSMSA, both are vital to Japan's defense and economic vitality, and both will be a pillar to Japan's rise to greatness.
On a sadder note, I hereby declare today, August 11, 2202 as Katsuhito Remembrance Day dedicated to my father and his legacy for all he did for our Great Country. Without my father Japan could never have come to where it is today, a nation reaching from Sendai, to Taipei, to Manila, millions upon millions of people were lifted out of poverty and into greatness thanks to my father, it is destined to rise even further during my reign!
May Japan rise to great..
[shots ring out, camera pans to a man with a gun being tackled by body guards and crowd members.]
Miyazaki: If you are just tuning in, or haven't heard yet, there has been an assassination attempt upon Crown Prince Hisahito. Although we do not have the exact details, we can assure you all that Hisahito was not hit by the bullet, and appears to be fine, other than being just a bit shaken up. We do not yet know the assassins' motives but he is currently in custody and we will announce you the news as we receive it..
