MultiPolarity II Signups

Not this time, any Australians on here should know what Im parodying though ;)

What you are paroding is almost funny enough to make me not think of killing you. Almost.

Edited my post with history and extra details.

what can I say, as an Australian it would be a travesty to not have an Australian nation, and even more of a travesty to have a Katterised nation somewhere else other than the uranium laced deserts of the north.

That said, Katterland is not imperialist Japan, so unlike with CivG I have absolutely no intention of conquering you so long as your remain in your southern hole of a non-katterised wasteland. As such, theoretically we can both go on and create colonial empires in relative peace with each other, who knows perhaps we could even co-operate against the sources of those dastardly boat people and against the asian peril to the north (*cough, Empire of China, *cough) :p

Spoiler :
Non-co-operation though could see a coup in peaceful Katterland by the Bjelke-peterson dynasty, and they have always had a desire to be PM over all the land ;)

Those HUGE lines in the oceans, are you going for something of a Risk-esque transport system or something?

Those demarcate the ocean zones you can block from other folks. Block all the routes and trade income will tank.

God damn it, your Tani the Hedgehog! Not Gollum from LOTRs!!!!!

I'm actually TAnIOS. Trusty Adminstrator 'n Imperiumofftopicum Operating System.

But close enough! Better than being a potato.

Well if the One Ring is in the game I am so going to steal it and place it in display in my main base. I am going to take a note from Evil Genius and collect rare items.

Well going by MPR and MP1 being kind of canon, demons, aliens, and Chaos Energy are in the game so why not.

Ewwww! Java so much province-crowdedness! :shake:

Java is one of the world's most crowded islands.

She would one of the best agents to recruit for such missions. Maybe my first super spy could be her...

However my omega aim would be to copy Evil Genius via shrinking the Eiffel Tower and adding it among my collection.

Assuming the Tower still exists why not! :D

Oooh, no Papal States-in-exile? :(

Well his social policy is theocratic conservatism. So he's at least got the feel.

In the name of the Socialist Union of Democratic States it must be.

What if the SUDS were washed away? :mischief:

*ba dum tish*

Though in all honesty if you want it still standing why not! If not we can always assume one of the various French successor states inevitably rebuilt a replica in its honor.

@ Tyo:

Ah good, I knew I could expect your return. Fortunately there's no wizards this game so you need not worry.

Though I suggest you summarily execute all of your admirals and recruit new ones. :p

He should probably pull a Khitan and just stay inland.

Ewwww! Java so much province-crowdedness! :shake:

Why do you think I'm starting there?

Kinda hard when he's already coastal, AA. :p

Anyway:

There are twenty-five canal territories, all shown in green here. These locations are focal points of shipping and trade, and owning them grants you great economic benefits. Most of them are in UN hands at the start, but each of the twenty-five territories takes 40 off your trade divider.

What's that, you ask? Well, global trade is divided by 2000, then multiplied by your trade value to determine your gross trade(tariffs are then applied on top of it). To conclude, controlling all 25 territories will DOUBLE your trade income.

To begin with, only 3(all in Egypt) are free from UN control but who knows when that might change?

Yes, I am also setting up a probable flashpoint in global politics. To begin with, taking those three would increase trade by 6%, and that rate quickly adds up as time goes on...

If a terror organisation could make a coup in one of the UN states guarding a important canal passsages...

I've actually never considered the chance of UN territories being couped. Though since the UN has Interpol and its own defense force, surely it can field its own counter-intel forces, yes? :p

However, I've established that they are for the most part self-governing. Each territory can have very different customs, laws, politics, etc. from the others; they are just 100% beholden to UN mandates.

How the UN would treat secession, oh boy that'd be a fun one.

You WANT me to be Egypt, don't you?

I'll play, but I'll have to read the rules and get some stuff up.
This is very complex. Oh well, the worst thing I could is lose... :)mischief:)

Well I also am eager for someone else to be in Africa so as to thwart Mosher's "Guardian of Africa" angle in favor of "Guardian of Sub-Saharan Africa" angle. :p

Predicting alliances:

-Pan-American Alliance
-European Alliance
-African-Asian Alliance(anti-European)

My prediction:

Formatic Alliance
Everyone else

:p
