Multipolarity II - Game Thread

If I was going to use my spahs on anyone, it would've been Kinich.

I knew they would cost an egregious amount of money!

That 50 gold mark won't be expensive for long... :p

Well. For folks who are playing things economically rather than fighting wars, at least. I -had- to make nukes more expensive than air wings.

In my defense, he was kind of swarmed like a sugarcube on an anthill.

To: the Chinese Union
From: the Empire of Katterland

Robert Katter, Emperor of Katterland, Supreme Autocrat of All the Australia's, Lord of Papua, New Zealand and all his other territories and posessions thanks the Chinese Union for its generous grant for the reconstruction of the Eastern Territories formerly under the dominion of the Oz regime.

It is our hope that your assistance will enable the economic revitalisation of the region and ensure the wellbeing of its inhabitants is brought to the high standards the rest of the people of Katterland enjoy. We hope that this assistance will be the first step in establishing a cordial relationship with the Chinese Union, regardless of our other differences and any disagreements that may emerge between our two great nations.

==Bengal Civil War==

Spoiler :
Bengal has 8 armies and 7 fleets.

After a coup goes wrong, Bengal resorts to old-fashioned tactics, summoning the forces of the Khmer to assist. Bengal's lack of an air force turns out to be its greatest strength - the rebels have none either. The Khmer, with full air superiorty, raid unopposed, and sink one of the Colonists' vessels.

Bengal instructs its 7 fleets to tear the 3 Colonist fleets new orifices. Bengal sinks 2 ships while the rebels sink 1.

Just as it seems the Colonists will survive, however, they face a greater threat: Maxland invades them from the east, likely hoping it can profit some from a spare province or two for the few years it will take Bengal to reconsolidate. 3 armies and 2 air wings roll in and face off against 1 colonist force.

Each side loses 1 army. 2 provinces shift to Maxland. 262,000 people are seized; of them 26,000 are lost to death and displacement.

Though the small rebel naval presence prevents any decisive invasion of the Colonies, Bengal does mount an attack on one neighboring province.

Bengal easily crushes the rebels, taking one province. 282,000 are seized; 28,000 lost.

==Prussian Civil War==

Spoiler :
Prussia has 4 armies, 1 fleet and 2 air wings. Though Sweden has had a pro-Soviet coup, it remains allied to Prussia and the USSR regardless, and has sent troops to cut down the GDR.

The Prussians manage to coup the rebel leadership into submission, and are quick to perform executions and imprisonments against the leading traitors, while "rehabilitating" many others. Leftist ideology takes a hit in Prussian culture, and Prussia moves further economically right - humorous, considering its alignment with a communist nation.

Prussia, while viewing the Partitionanian War as initially none of its concern (due to being out of aggression), nonetheless says that it will commit troops to defend the Soviet Union against assault from third parties, as per the defensive obligations of the Soviet-Prussian Alliance.

==Louisiana Civil War==

Spoiler :
Louisiana has 5 armies, 1 fleet and 2 air wings.

As with its other civil war-ravaged amigos, though, it's eager to begin with a coup attempt. And it works! The Fifth French Empire is defeated and Napoleon X goes into hiding. Without foreign funding, the FFE could not hope to win.

Louisiana resumes its policy of isolation as if the whole affair had never happened.

The World Bank is offering loans of 10 gold for 11 gold the following turn. Provided they are not rejected by a chair, they shall be accepted.

==Overview==

It is the Year 3014. Important news are as follows:

The USSR, with sheer numbers, has brutally crushed all but one province of the former Partitionanian state. With the Prussian Civil War over and Crimea and Sweden allied with the USSR, things do not bode well for the Finno-Poles.

The OCP has been vocal in assisting Poland with aid, causing a massive tanking of their share price as investors fear involvement in geopolitics.

The UN has seen some procedural revisions, but no policies of note. The UN's standard of living sinking beneath that of many first world nations, UN Zone leaders are due to meet and discuss a new plan of action later in the year.

The World Bank's coffers continue to explode as nations tack on debt to pay for various initiatives, in turn leading to even more credit extensions.

Peru and Brazil have formally inked an alliance, finally bringing activity to South America. The 501st, in North America, as a contrast, has seen a massive invasion by the Kleptocrats, who cite an impending threat to the global balance. This has put Indonesia at war with almost all of North America.

Many civil wars have ended, but others have started, and the Bengal Civil War continues to rage with minimal changes, due to neither side dominating the seas.

Perhaps most striking was the dissolution of the London-led anti-USSR coalition. London imploded into two much weaker powers, its bioweapons program evaporating, while Catalonia now has tense relations with the Romans over occupied parts of the coastline. Rome also having to deal with its ally Byzantium's civil war, it is predicted that Europe will see a Red Partitionania as practiality overrides the small state's independence.

Most alarming, by contrast, is the news of the development of nuclear weapons, though it not known by whom. Lacuna Corp. has said that it will stand ready to clean up any pollutants from their use.

Occupied territories rise up for five turns after occupation, damaging industry and causing loss of troops. They do not usually directly confront troops unless there's a good chance of victory; they prefer terrorism and guerrilla warfare.

The current Prime Minister, and leader of the Democratic Catholic Coalition, Mr. Su Ngan-xiang is here along with the leader of the Democrats, Mr. Xinhuan Chiang, the leader of the National Catholic Party, Yi Hon, the leader of the Republican Party, Mr. Wang Jing and the leader of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Jung Jiao-long. Leader of the Republican Party, Wang Jing (WJ):

Leader of the Democratic Party, Mr. Xinhuan Chiang (XC):

Leader of the National Catholic Party, Mr. Yi Hon (YH):

Leader of the Communist Party of China, Mr. Jung Jiao-long (JJ):

HX: Dowyuang Hunsin, tell us more about the elections.

DH: After many years, the coalition has declared elections. Mr. Su Ngan-xiang, although at first a temporary Prime Minister, has now been used as a uniting force of the Democratic and National Catholic Parties that have lost some of their power. There is no hope of an one Party Government, as neither the Republicans or the Communists will be able to gain a majority in the senate, according to the latest polls. Right now the Democratic Catholic coalition is expected to win, but they will lose some of their seats in the senate.

HX: Are you saying that we may see a change in the Government and the rise of a Republican Party in the Government in the later years? Because the Democrats lose more and more seats while the Republicans get stronger in every elections.

DH: Maybe, but we are not sure yet.

HX: Anyway, I have just been informed that the elections will end in 6 hours. The elections started before 8 hours (At 10 in the morning), so we will soon learn who will win the elections. But now lets greet our guests. And most of all, let's greet His Imperial highness the Emperor of China Sin Chiang Otto Von Constantine IV. I am going to ask you all some questions, but first we are going to hear the Empire's National Anthem.

The National Anthem of the Empire of China:

Link to video.

HX: My first question will be to Mr. Xinhuan Chiang, leader of the Democrats. What is your platform for the elections. What do you hope to do if you win the elections?

XC: First, Mr. Hungao Xing, our hope is that when we will win the elections, we will continue our co-operation with the National Catholic Party and Mr. Su Ngan-xiang. Our goals right now are to give more funds to the Industries and modernize and enlarge the Army. Also we shall promote peaceful relations with the Union and we shall hunt down and destroy all terrorists.

HX: Very well. Mr. Yi Hon, what are is your platform for the elections?

YH: The National Catolic Party supports that more funds should be given to the Industry in order to have money to flow in the Market and develop our Economy. Also a larger and more modern army will llow us to purue our National Interests and protect our Nation. We should also support the Chinese Catholic Church.

HX: Mr. Wang Jing, leader of the republicans, your opinion?

WJ: We, in the Republican Party, believe that the developing of the Army is our first priority. We also support an Aerial blockade of the Union. We will also lower the taxes.

HX: Mr. Mr. Jung Jiao-long, what is your platform for the elections?

JJ: The Communist Party supports the replacement of the old Capitalist Economic System with a Communist Economic System, so the riches of China are not exploited by the plutocracy, but by the Workers instead. We also support closer relations with third world countries and Communist States.

HX: Mr. Su Ngan-xiang, will you be the one who will lead the Democratic Catholic Coalition?

JJ: Yes. I believe in a stronger and united China. Our coalition has managed to make China a large economy and a stable republic.

HX: Your Imperial highness the Emperor of China Sin Chiang Otto Von Constantine IV, what is your opinion?

EoC: My opinion is that the people of China should chose what they believe that is best and most wise choice. The fate of the nation is at the hands of the people. I, as Monarch and Head of State, shall make sure that the elections will proceed normaly and that there will be stability in China.

HX: We thank your Imperial highness the Emperor of China Sin Chiang Otto Von Constantine IV for coming in our News. And with that, our News end. We shall see you again in 6 hours, when the elections will end.

Spoiler Dialoglog :
TRAUDL: Umm, I'm pretty sure I ordered expansion south.
LEVESQUE: Nous avons ordonné d'expansion dans le Nouveau-brunswick , et ces terres ne sont pas les nôtres! Est-ce que le misérable Anglophone veuillez expliquer cette erreur?
BURGDORF: Oh, so it's not just me, then?
HADDOCK: Insolent porcupine! Honour my claims or I'll keel-haul ya!
DUKE: Lack of claims piss me off!
CHUIKOV: So the wretched Somali cancer is free to grow, but the people's welfare cannot? I smell GM bias...
VEERS: I really don't think my men were just sitting around for two years.
MONTEZILLA: Gimme my claims or I'll send a gazillion axemen!!
GERDA: I believe I said to expand north.
WILHELM II: I didn't send all my soldiers to Estonia, you know.
ALBRECHT: I detect a distinct lack of claims in northern Germany.
DEMOMAN: I already don't remember if I claimed or not.
HITLER: Hang on, I'll go check.
VERNON: Er, is there any reason I haven't expanded?
HÖGL: Does the GM not know which way is west?
HITLER: Oh FFS, he's doing that map retcon thing again!
VON GREIM: Tan, I am disappoint.
MISCH: Chalk me up with the dishonoured.
SETH: I was beginning to trust you. But now Kane has asked for your services specifically.
MONTGOMERY: The war lasted all of five minutes, so I think I should've had some men free for claims.
SQUILLIAM: Yes, I know all other lands are grossly inferior, but we would like the few claims we do make to be honored.
FEGELEIN: Even the GM fears the power of the socialist revolution.
GORDON: :trouble:
SAM: You missed my claims there, buddy.
LINGE: I said all directions, not no directions!
GRAWITZ: Did you miss my orders, or something?
MEYER: Do you not like my books? Is that your problem?
GÜNSCHE: I believe you overlooked my claims.
HIMMLER: Does Himm-Dawg have to choke a witch?
LEE: I gave you the chance of aiding me willingly, but you have elected the way of pain.
REITSCH: It seems like this is a pretty widespread problem.
BUSH: Either yer with me, or yer with th' terrists.
KREBS: As the Bunker's resident map expert, I can say with certainty that there are some gaping flaws with yours.
BLONDI: whine :(

MAGDA: If ignoring players' claims becomes chronic, I may have to treat you to a... "sleeping draught".
HAASE: I think you can guess what I'm going to say.
KEITEL: You have not honoured my claims.
STAVROS: Those orders were for last turn, you know.
CHURCHILL: Never, never, never skip my claims.
HOOD: A word: Claims.
SPEER: I will freely admit that I have made terrible mistakes, but last turn's orders were not among them.
M: I think I speak for most of us here when I say we would like our orders honoured.
GÖRING: Oh, come onnnn! You couldn't fit all those fat jokes into more land?
WEIDLING: This game would be less troublesome if you would remember my orders.
KOLLER: I'm pretty sure I should have more land.
BINKS: Suuure! Ignore our claims! But yousa don't bein' da-surprisey when da big chompy-chomp be ringin' yousa doorbell!
BLAKETON: This turn's statistics appear to be in error. I do hope this isn't due to any deliberate action on your part...

Yeah, I noticed that my claim for the previous turn was ignored. I claimed that little island off Hokkaido. Instead, it was brushed off and an NPC took claim to it!

Proof of claim from the last turn w/ highlighted area of land in question:

That island was... not claimed by an NPC. :p

Thorvald: Only NPCs of stability 1 expand! Though great fun could happen if I raise the ceiling I suppose...
