Tourism Icon

Now this is really nitpicky and minor, but... does anybody feel that the tourism icon deserves a little color in it? Similar to all the other yield icons, even the golden age diamond.

It just looks a bit out of place. Without color, it just looks like another social policy icon or something similar, like a simple unit action icon.

I think a dab of color will make it more distinct and give it more of an identity as an important yield.

Has anyone else felt the same way after viewing the screenshots?

I think it looks fine, I needs to be pleasing enough to the eye without being an eye sore.

Yeah, color could be nice, but it would e hard to make it as so that it wouldn't look bad.

I agree, it could be coloured a discrete brown, something like this:

Well, I think the point is to be identifiable. If they're the only silver one, that helps stand out too.

Brown could work, though.

Well, Faith already has white as its colour. So just like Culture has purple, Science has blue, Gold has yellow, Food has green and Production has orange, it would be nice if a specific colour was associated with Tourism. Brown is the likely colour to put on the suitecase, but you could have other colours also.

I am ok with the suitcase. The one that bothers me is the trade routes. If you don't look closely at it it's just a blank white circle.

That's the one that's bothering me too. I don't even care for the icon itself. Just looks like a refresh button..........or two triangles chasing each other really fast in a circle. :crazyeye:

That fit emigration better than tourism. The only other possibility is a camera IMO but it may be too era specific.

I kind of agree, not talking about the colour but the actual icon, the trade route icon could do with some love. The icon itself isn't as such bad, but it doesn't really match the other icons in the top bar very well, since they are all more or less "pictoral" in their design - some of them more (the dove for faith, the suitcase for tourism, the happiness face, the coin for gold), others less (the culture icon and the golden age icon are both pretty abstract), but still, other them seem to have some sort of picture.

Obviously, the coin is already taken as picture for gold, so one would need to come up with something else. Suggestions could be:
- A camel, to represent the earliest trade routes. On the downside, this might be confusing with naval trade routes.
- A pentagon, to match the shape of the trade unit icons.

Anybody have better suggestions?
