Soviets at the Gates:
The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, contained mostly in Anatolia up until now, has become even more of a serious threat to Jerusalem. Understanding that the disaster that happened last year when the Soviets committed more of their forces than was expected Azure Comet, the general in charge of the defence of Eastern Anatolia, decided on a new strategy. He decided to enact a scorched earth strategy, he would get his army to retreat and get his army to destroy everything that wasnt nailed down. For the stuff he did nail down he just put a new bio-weapon on that was made from the Joke Poison plants. This had the effect of giving many of the Soviet Jedi gross mutations that made it impossible for them to fight. Getting his army to retreat to Antioch and Kurdistan, he waited for the Soviets to fall into his trap.
However, Azure Comet made one gross mistake. He thought that the Soviets would care about their fallen comrades and would not continue the march into Jerusalem. However, the Soviet commanders did not care and continued to march their soldiers across the booby-trapped landscape. In the Battle of Antioch the Ponies fought long and hard and managed to kill the vast majority of the Soviet forces, however they were eventually forced to retreat to the city of Jerusalem.
The Western Front was a very different story. The Varangian Guard, upon hearing of the devastation in Antioch, made a foolhardy attack on the Basil. Erik "The Heathen" of Munsö was killed in the charge and most of the Varangian Guard were wiped out. Although they still exist in some minor capacity, they a merely a small part of the vast Army of the Equestrian Order, no serious political or military commentator would bother to differentiate between the two.
Alexander the Great was not so foolhardy. He waited for the perfect moment to strike against the Soviets, when the Coalition were harassing the Basil with aeroplanes and when a corrupt Soviet general transferred the bulk of the Western Guard to the Eastern Front to compensate for the heavy losses. Alexander charged his Balkan Army into the almost defenceless City of
As the city of Jerusalem prepares for what could be the most important battle of the war, tensions are running high in both camps. In the Allied side, public opinion of the war has gone down in all countries except for those directly involved in the fighting. Many Khajiit, Mysterious and Abbotsfordian people are making their discontent known as they believe that the cost of this war is too high. Although the latest bombing run was a success casualties were extremely high on both sides, especially for an air raid. The people of the Alliance are starting to question what business it is of theirs what happens to Jerusalem and are starting to demand their governments to bring their boys home. Meanwhile, the Soviet war machine is starting to fall apart. The Basil is in shambles and the with the majority of their military dead or heavily injured the Soviets cannot afford to lose the momentum, either they take Jerusalem or their military will collapse. The worlds eyes are trained on Jerusalem, as everyone knows that this Battle for Jerusalem will either be Jerusalems Stalingrad, or it will be their Dien Bien Phu. This one battle will determine who wins this war.

The Great Cyberwar:
With their connection to a greater Cyber-Hive established, the Cybermen of the United Manchinia have declared war on the Nova Terrans due to conflicts in Nova Terras space empire with a Cyber-Legion. Although Nova Terra is a part of the Pacific Coalition, neither the Mystery Nation or Abbotsford has come to their aid, obviously focusing their attention on the Basil Class Crisis. The Mystery Nation has publically denounced the United Machinia and have begun a large build-up of soldiers on the Mysterious-Machinian border, but they seem to be making no moves of aggression just yet.
Using soldiers pulled from the Basil Class Crisis, Nova Terra begun planning a counter offensive against the advancing United Machinian armies, with assistance from colonists from Coruscant who wished to make a home in Northern Mexico. The offensive was delayed due to spies sabotaging the military build-up by putting large amounts of narcotics in the water and food supplies of the forward bases, putting many soldiers out of commission from health problems. Soldiers were pulled from the homefront to make up for the loss in attack power, but the spies were never caught and the drug related woes of the Nova Terran state were far from over.
A large smuggling operation through the Panama Canal has seen large amount of all sorts of illegal drugs being shipped into the country. This has caused a large amount of drug syndicates to pop up around the country, causing the levels of crime and of drug addiction to reach a record high. The drug syndicates assassinating and bribing local officials in some of the poorer parts of the country have certainly not helped matters. Alongside with the mixed results of Operation Sam Houston has seen the nations opinion of the government reach new lows.
Operation Sam Houston consisted of three distinct groups, the Eastern Division which made a naval landing in California, the Western Division which made a landing in South-Eastern areas of the United States focusing on Florida and the Green Group which advanced alongside colonists into the Mexican border. The Eastern and Western Division made considerable advances into the Machinian coastline, taking very few losses due to surprisingly light resistance. After the successful attack, the Green Group made their advance into Northern Mexico which is where they found out the reason why resistance had been so light, the Machinian army of Cybermen had pooled almost all of their army in an offensive into Mexico.
With the Green Group being outnumbered almost 2-to-1, the campaign was a disaster. Even though the Nova Terrans managed to keep a 1:1 kill ratio thanks to advanced EMP and Telsa weaponry, there was no changing the fact that they were hopelessly outnumbered. The Nova Terrans had to make a retreat, allowing the Cybermen to raise the new Northern Mexican colonies into the ground and allowing the Cybermen to seize most of Mexico.
Meanwhile in space, things arent looking so good for the Nova Terrans. What was mistakenly thought to be the main Cyber-Fleet of the enemy Cyber-Legion was merely a splinter fleet led by a replica of the Hubble Telescope. The main fleet was much larger and, after an epic space battle, forced the Nova Terran First Fleet to retreat from the border. The Cyber-Legion has seized several colony worlds on the border of Nova Terra and they show no signs of just stopping at that.
The newly-occupied territory is quickly being adapted to suit the needs of the occupier on both sides. The Nova Terrans have attempted to restore the humanity of captured Cybermen in the newly-conquered United States, it has been a difficult project with limited success. Nova Terran scientists have compared the process to dropping an egg on concrete and then trying to reassemble it. Those they have been able to save have made a full recovery and have opted for intensive reconstructive surgery so that they can return to a normal life.
While some people have been saved from the Cybermenace, many more have been lost. The Machinians have rounded up almost everyone in Mexico and all of the POWs and upgraded them, using the very civilians that the Nova Terrans were aiming to protect against them. In even more disturbing news, the Machinians have begun to round up those ineligible for upgrading (those that are too young, too old or are extremely ill) and, instead of deleting them like they did in the United States, have begun to experiment on them by giving them all sorts of narcotics. Not only does this make a horrifying nation even worse, but it also confirms that the increase of drug trade in Nova Terra and the Cybermen are related.
With this unexpected shifting of territory, neither side can truly claim to have come out victorious in this latest exchange. One can only speculate on how the Generals on both sides will react to the strange new shifts in the battlefield

The Flames of Mainland Japan:
The recent raid on Japan by Vietnam left Empress Shi wanting revenge, the United States of Vietnam were prepared for this so they launched an offensive on her Empire. Their best troops blitzed into China and attacked the badly defended Japanese
In not-so-good news for Vietnam, they got nuked. Twice. Two of their biggest cities, Saigon and Can Tho were destroyed. This has damaged Vietnams production immensely. It has also driven up recruitment rates as people feel that it is safer to be on the battlefields than to be in their own homes, also people want to GET. RE. VENGE. Also leaflets reminding people of Bob the Builders services to rebuild provinces at the low, low cost of $5 a province.
With the war moving to Korea, the military production of Japan has not improved, however they have two more nuclear missiles to boot. Perhaps this war will answer the age old question, what is better? The best trained fighting force in the world? Or nukes?
