I just wanted to announce that I have just uploaded twenty new units into the database, as you can tell from the topic title, they are all from Mesoamerica or the Andes. I already now that BtS will feature EDUnits, however, most of these units where already made (or near completion) so I just decided to load them up anyhow. After all, the graphics guys at Firaxis probably lumped together North America, Mesoamerican, and Andean civilizations so some of their units may be rather generic, (for instance, the Aztecs may have to employ tomahawk warriors or use Plains Indian horsemen.) So someone can use some of these units for more indepth civ by civ EDUnits if they want. Or they may just want something a bit different.
Anyway here they are,

Please tell me if anything is wrong or just plain ugly, It's about 3:00 in the morning around here, so sorry if there are missing pictures or something's messed up.
Screenshots are in the links as always.

GREAT...hey, i dl some of these like an hour ago (I guess i saw them when u were uling them)...some very good imagination in units!!

That's a lot of new units.. Some of the Meso-American ones are quite good :) however I don't really like some of the Andean or Coyote ones, but maybe it's just their style. Still good work on completing 20 native American units!

Is NifSkope something different then the Nifviewer that shipped with the game? I can open the meso-units just fine in it...

I use NifSkope just to mainly look at files (as it opens them directly, unlike the SceneViewer) and I've noticed that files using blender stuff won't open with it. They work fine in SceneViewer though and in-game.

Absolutely amazing! I think I like the Aztec Knight the best; it has that perfect blend of medieval armor while maintaining Aztec flavor.

If you are still in the mood for modding, I think you should do Egypt next.

Thanks again; they are amazing.

Thanks for the kind words everyone! :)

@bernie14, my internet is extremely slow :aargh: so it takes awhile to upload units …. I also fell asleep waiting for it to up load some of the units which may also explain why it took so long. I noticed someone started downloading them before I even started my thread!

@NikNaks93, I'm glad I got off my lazy bum and uploaded these then. At least these units are sure to get into one mod.:goodjob:

@Chugginator, Many of the Andean unit designs, I will admit, are a bit left field (as in smoking pot type left-field[pimp] ). Originally, I was going to give Mesoamericans and Andes completely different medieval sets so I wanted them to each have a different design flavor and color scheme. If any of them get alternate models or designs, it’ll probably be the Andes units though. The Coyote Warrior was just a unit I made because I noticed there was already an eagle warrior in the database so I just wanted all of the major Aztec skin wearing warriors. I was going to make it more historically accurate, like the pic.

But a full body coyote skin wouldn’t go well with the Aztec Jaguar which shipped with the game…

Sword_Of_Geddon@ Thanks!

Medieval and the missing Ancient Egyptian units are on my to do list. :) But that will probably be the only era, I just can’t think of an Egyptian rifleman and infantry without feeling ridiculous. :p

Why not make arabian styled versions for those?
