I finished the Borg Queen Ship, but I can't make it into a flc. Anyone still has a working copy of Civ3FlcEdit? The download links are dead... :(

I can't get civ3flcedit to work on my pc, but I use flicster. I don't know what files you have, maybe I can "flicify" them for you?

anyway, this is what I have so far for the attack animation:

edit: I have fixed the weird movement with his arm, it goes smoother into the fortified position now. It looked better from the south position... oh well. I will render and post the thing tomorrow because it is a bit late here now :)

@ Logitech: can you please post it somewhere? Else I guess I'll have to give Flicster a try...

yea so I've heard. the second attack would be a continuous beam though, so if you want you could just leave this one out ;)

I ask Ruby for a short phaser pulse, but you are right with the kickback... ;)
 
ok, should I get the knockback all gone? or should I for reducing the stifness of it add a tiny bit of knockback?
 
Yeah, maybe you should leave a little bit to make it look less stiff...

Yes, tests here indicate that 3 of 4 testers instinctively raised their phasers after firing; the fourth lowered his phaser after firing. We think that excessive amounts of marijuana may be the cause of his arm tiredness; we're hoping to do more testing tonight.:D

I tried it myself a bit and it is true... ;) But I guess Starfleet finest would have learned to suppress that tendency. :D

Yes, but the download link is dead after the server hack a few months ago... :(

Hmmm, I just tried the link and everything worked fine for me (I used the first link).

Installed and ran fine for me.

About the unit ruby sauce posted. Perhaps he could make the person do a little bit of a thrust with the phaser just before firing. I've noticed that while watching episodes lately (my guess is to aim a little better). DS9 and Voyager (as those are the only ones being aired that I've found).
