The last month I have been toying with doing some one city challange space races in normal bts civ. I play on prince level and use to be able to fly to moon at around 1970.
The thing I like with one city challange is that it goes faster, you can finish a game in under 2 hours. Which is good for me who likes to start new civ every session.

But one city challange in bts is probably abit harder due to stability and harder to get the 4 important national wonders (you can build 5 wonders on normal if you do a one city challange without needing 6 of each pre-requisition building), globeteater, oxford, national park and heroic epic.

Some of the civs with best capital might pull it off on monarch in rfc like japan, england, greece and rome comes into mind. Lots of resources and quite easily to defend. But for most maybe it's better to do it on viceroy.

The rules for it should be that you are not allowed to have anymore than one city, dispand the starting settlers. And if you get an extra city when you spawn, leave it defenseless so it gets taken. And if you capture a city raze it.

Anyone managed to pull it off?

Nonsense, stability has no effect on you in a one-city challenge. You can't lose cities to independence because you don't have any outside of your capital and you can't collapse to just your capital, as this is the level at which your civ always stays!

Also it is possible to change a line of code from = 0 to = 1 which will allow you to start RFC in custom mode and then you can tick OCC option which will make it so that you play a true OCC game (5 national wonders without 6 buildings requirement, can't build settlers, conquered cities auto-razed).

Almost did it yesterday with Japan; a complete peaceful OCC Space Race game, and my ship was to be the first to arrive on Alpha Centauri. Too bad it only had one casing :p

Got it on my second try. Kyoto is definitely a beast, and the game easier without a "ho, I have a huge empire and 13 vassals" England
