Ah, yes... I too, had forgotten about Spain. I suppose they could be started off 'Pink', as with Chinese National forces, and also Poland (Ha, ha, aren't I nice with Bo's time???
, but then that would neccessitate some of the Minor Allied also converting to 'Pink. (Spain, as 'Pinko's'...
... could effectively be (most likely?) allowed to 'sit out' the conflict, per real life?)
Basically, I just don't think that Germany gets enough 'support' from the Axis Minor... at least initially in the game. Even before Germany has to (eventually) always war against Italy, the Minor Axis doesn't really 'help' the Germans, so much as they're just an 'obstacle' to the Allies. No joint coordination, etc. As I see it, Germany actualy playes totally alone (japan being distant), against the combined allies. So I would think that, if only ONE Minor was opened up for human play, it should be the Minor Axis. The Minor Allied, left to the AI... would be 'just' about right confronting the Axis on-slaught (I keep thinking about Alex's <Voltar> comments, and realize that a human playing France could effect perhaps TO stiff an initial defense. With financial and also tech pouring into France from USA and UK, starting game turn #1 (which it would)... I'll bet that Germany could be prevented from EVER taking the country, with the exception of some initial cities. It seems that it (France) would turn out to be more of an un-realistic 'meat grinder' that would devastate/wear down Germany's entire might, leaving Russia the entire intial 'trump card'. Both Minor's played by humans might be fun (only one way to find out
, but I'd stick with just the Minor Axis (again) if only one were played by a human.
Just rambling thoughts, gentlemen... not like I'm a 'wiz' at this! Just my '2 cents'.
