Riddle

Let me see if I can get this one right. Supposedly most kids can figure it out, but only a small minority of college grads. (but that was courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Fw: button ;))

What is bigger than God, more evil than the devil, the rich need it, the poor have it, and if you eat it you will die?

That's the answer I've always know for that...

Nothing is bigger than god.

Nothing is more evil than the devil.

The rich need nothing.

The poor have nothing.

And if you eat nothing you will (eventually) die.

An eye in a [blue face]
Saw an eye in a green face.
"That eye is like to my eye"
Said the first eye,
"But in a low place,
not in a high place."

The sun shining on a flower.
The blue face is the sky; the green face is the grass.

N. B.: The first line is "An eye in a [blue face]" not "An eye in a high place".

Farmer Brown was cleaning out his old barn. He was dragging things out into the yard and filling containers with useless items he had collected over the years. At one point, he rolled an old barrel out of the barn which weighed 20 pounds. Farmer Brown put something in the barrel and when he was finished, it weighted less. What was it?

Oh, wait - Duh!

It's a hole. The barrel was filled with liquid, like water. Hope it wasn't wine; what a waste!

{|}$~\ - You got it, but I am fairly sure it is "high place" in my book. Lemme go check it out.

Oh, I see. It is blue. Oops. Oh, well, it took forever to get it anyway. ;)
