What are your opinions on succession of states in the Union. Is it unacceptable in all circumstances, or is it ok if the circumstances warrant it.
Just for the record, Mild/Moderate issues would include: Taxes or laws that are disliked (But not against the constitution necessarily) wars that are disliked but at least arguably just (The war in Iraq, if i qualified as a disliked war to you, would be a mild reason, declaring war on Canada or England all of the sudden would be a more major reason.) A too strong (But at least reasonably arguably constitutional) Federal Government, draft, exc would qualify as Mild/Moderate
Major issues (Still not the same as extreme) include strong socialistic policies (I'm not defining this, you can for yourself, and to be differentiated from Communistic policies) amendments to the constitution made to strongly increase bureaucracy, but are not fundamentally impossible to justify, (For instance, taking away freedom of speech would be impossible to justify. Also included would be extreme taxes, (For instance, if 70% of the peoples money went to the government, this would be an extreme tax,) or wars which don't make sense, such as invading Mexico over the illegal immigrants.
Extreme issues would be defined as Communist policies, a Communist President (Openly so, I am not talking about Obama even though I have called him a Communist, I'm talking more like if we elected Karalysia president) Martial Law, censorship, psycho wars, exc.
Also note, obviously, if a state/states ever did leave the United States, there would be war against said states, since a government doing the things in the extreme categories wouldn't let some states leave, but I'm asking Civfanatics if you think that there should be any possibility for succession.
Choose one of the first five, and then say if you are an American or Not. (Say you are not an American if you don't live in the United States, even if you live somewhere else in the Americas. Also, do not push this point saying you are Americans too, its not a point of argument, I simply used American instead of United States Citizen because that's what I did.)
