I understand most of them but the culture one has 5(34) what do these two numbers signify as another city has 11(8) or 5(31).
The three after it seem strange too, the first of the three must be trade but the second has a red coin, what is this? The third of the three looks like the great person section but again these numbers in my cities are 6(13) and 3(27) what is this? The next one (before what I am producing) has what looks like a black egg timer where all 12 of my cities have a five, is this to do with defence? Thanks for your help. |

Usually when you see something like #(#). The first number represents #per turn and the number in brackets is the number of turns to next milestone or level. So City X is producing 5 culture per turn and the city will hit it's next cultural level in 34 turns.
The black egg timer thing I believe is # of MP. I've never known what the red coin or dot was.

I believe the red coin column is maintenance costs.

small arrows circle = trade routes income
next red coin is city maintence and after great person tab its number of military units in city ![]() and XX (XX) really is culture per turn (turn to next level) and for Great person its same - GGP/turn (turns to next Great Person) |

The posters before me have answered the specifics that you asked. FWIW, the "egg timer" is a castle, shaped like the chess piece (castle or rook), and represents the military present in your city.

^^^Yeah, I took it as looking like a Rook. Honestly never looked at it closely until responding to this thread.

Exactly.
How much culture you are generating per turn (How many turns. until you get your next radius). Speed this up by building more culture buildings. How much Gold you are getting from Trade Routes. Build The Great Lightouse and make contact with other cities on islands or continents and build your Harbor for more gold. Red coin = How much City Maintenaince that city is costing you. You can sort your cities by highest to lowest, by clicking the top. Select highest amount and get your courthouse built in that city soon to save gold. How many Great People Points you are generating per turn (How many turns, until you get a Great Person from that city). Check on these cities to make sure you are getting the Great Person you want. Sometimes the AI has you earning points towards a Great Spy, when you want a Great Scientist, for example. Black Rook = The number of units you have defending that city. Doesn't include workers, settlers, scouts, explorers or naval units. I don't use this too often. Just to locate straggler units, that I forgot I had later in the game.
