Mod For Lowering Maintenance Cost?

basically i'm searching for a mod that mainly focuses on lowering maintenance cost (especially the distance to palace cost), without changing much of the games other features.
the reason i'm asking is because i don't want to change to the state property civic cause that way i'll lose the corporation effects.

thanks for any replies

Can't beat the wife, can't kick the dog, can't smoke, can't shoot cans off the fence with an assault rifle, can't call people who are different than we are names, can't punch anyone in the nose. Its enough to make anyone depressed.

In other words, liberalism.

Yes. Just change <bNoCorporations> to 0 in CIV4CivicInfos.xml.

And OP, you can separately change the different kinds of maintenance, including distance to capital for each difficulty level in CIV4HandicapInfo.xml. Just lower the number by whatever percentage you desire.

When modifying xml or any other game files, it's best to first copy the file you want to edit into the custom assets folder and then edit the copies. That way, if you somehow screw the game up and can't fix it, you can just delete the custom asset file in question and the game reverts to the original.

@rah
i think that the only civic that kills corps effect is state property.

@Nick Carpathia
well, the worldbuilder is a good suggestion but it feels kinda boring having to do that all the time. a mod with new/improved buildings and new/cool civics or techs sounds more fun

edit:
@1984plusplus
just saw your post. i'll try that and see what happens

thank you all guys for your replies
