Master of the Universe
After a hard-fought effort, I finally got a diplomatic victory with the Arabs. It was mostly a money victory, but I did use strategic diplomacy. I liberated a city-state after working with the Inca to carve up Siam. In the end, the Indians had more money than me by far, so I had to use the somewhat cheap strategy of declaring war on them to block them from taking back the city-states (interestingly, my liberated city-state started fighting me with Mech Inf. I gave them, but they still voted for me).
Anyway, with that victory, I have successfully won with every single one of the original Civilizations. I am now Master of the Universe! Anyone else get this achievement? Who was your final civ to play as?

Only Denmark left. I've played several successful games with the Danes but never finished them. I'm Swedish so I'd rather not let them win. It's going to be nice with GaK to play Sweden and

You don't need Denmark to get the achievement, only original civs. You don't even need the Mongols.

I still have about 6 to go, what I dislike is how playing scenario's with certain civs seems to unlock those achievements as well.
I'd rather it did not as I want to play with them in regular set-ups. |

Just the Iroquois left.
Got a two games of Arabia and Ottomans respectively - thinking of restarting the former despite really good start (botched it quite bad at the end by launching a premature nuke war). |

Yes; got Masters of the Universe a few weeks ago. Germany was the last civ.
With today's victory as Korea, I now only have two DLC civs I haven't yet won as. Pacific Islander: just started Denmark: next on deck Edit: Won as Pacific Islander today. That leaves Denmark as the only civ left to win as.

I've got a ways to go to finishing games with all the civs.
It's been a goal of mine since i got the game, not for an achievement, but just because i want to experience them all fully. I unfortunately tend to not finish games if they are not going well, and i've done some civs numerous times (yay Babylon and Inca). |

ense7en, I originally started this just to experience all the civs. But when I got close, I shifted my priorities towards the original civs to get the achievements. I've won with Spain, Polynesia, and Babylon, but I've put off the Inca for a long time so as to win with vanilla civs.

Currently I'm disabling my favorite mods so I can play for achievements. Building 1000 temples going to be a long effort I suspect...
Louis, playing with all the civs, have you built all the units for that specific achievement? |

I also want to get it before GaK. I think there are 7 more to go: Rammy, Hiawatha, Darius, Wu, Kamehameha, Harun and Bismarck. I've got two games currently, with Arabia on huge Earth and Bismarck on standard size Tectonics (great custom script, it's in the mod workshop).
I think I will sort out the remaining five civs within the month that is left until GaK comes out. I like that different UAs benefit different strategies and I can learn new ways to play the game with each leader. |

Not true, the achievements aren't counted if you load a mod. A map script isn't considered a mod if you put the .lua file in Maps folder - it will show up in standard game setup. I used Terra Incognita script for my latest Roman game and got the achievement (also the Zeupiter achievement).

Probably not as long as purchasing 1000 tiles. (That's one of the few non-DLC achievements that I'm missing, and I'm only a little over halfway there.)

And yeah, british navy is pretty sick too. But the purchasing of tiles is not really hard if you just aim for it half way in a game where you have a lot of gold and still some cheap tiles to buy. |

It lists every wonder, so you should see the zero in the one your missing. Note that you don't need to build the DLC wonders for the achievement. Also, you'll need to check your config.ini file: Search for LoggingEnabled, if its zero change to 1 and save. ; Enable the logging system LoggingEnabled = 1 Also, that file is only updated on startup.

Interesting, just checking the log file reveals I've built every wonder out there... except the Great Lighthouse.
Does anyone actually build that? |

I like getting both that and the Colossus if there are at least three sea resources/luxuries within range of my cap. |
