Game Play Time
Hi All,
I haven't played a Civ game since Civ3 and thinking of getting Civ 5. I am just wondering how long it takes to play a game from start to finish? I'm not looking for an answer in hours, more wondering how it compares to the older versions. It looks quite detailed so I am guessing it may take a good bit longer to finish the game. |

Longer than Civ. 4 if you go wide, faster than Civ 4 if you stay small (staying small is actually a possibility in Civ. 5.).

there are so many pre-game options that can determine the lenght of a game to some degree.

Civ V is faster to me than both 3 & 4 overall.
Early turns longer; but later turns are a fraction of the time compared to 3/4. (You have a lot fewer units to move with 1 UPT compared to others; and you'll have a lot fewer cities to manage as well)
