Where folks settled
Here's where everyone settled.
![]() The Small Print: The numbers by each player's name indicate the turn settled on (starting turn is 0). Players are colour coded by game class (challenger=red, adventurer=blue). Symbols indicate victory condition, if there's no symbol then the player either retired or was defeated. The yellow border indicates the land that was visible at the start of the game.

Thats the tightest contest I have ever seen.
evil_spock gets the eptathlon by winning diplo on the same turn as WastinTime, but gets it for higher score. 1 turn in fastest conquest as well. Well done guys!! @matthew9890, welcome to GOTM's.

Woohoo ! 12 th spot ! That's my highest ranking in the GOTM so far.
Thanks for the fun game and the variety of starts. And congrats for all the winner. Thus said, why isn't it called an heptathlon ? Is there a subtle pun I'm missing ? |

/School teacher mode on
No, I understand why it's CALLED an heptathlon, meaning seven contests, I'm just puzzled as why it's spelled without an H in a few threads. /school teacher mode off. |

It is either spanish or italian. It should be called Oct some thing for BTS with the addition of gold medal. Congrats to winners and thanks for the map.

A culture shield? It's my first BotM win, so I'll take it. Got started late, the continent was pagan until I got Taoism.

No, I decided that settling an Plains-Hill was a better start location. Allowing the other resource to go to another city. So I don't see this a handicap to my game.
