Question on Blitzkrieg 1942 v3 and Blitzkrieg 1936 v5.3

Hello all,

I am trying to play the 2 scenarios by Eivind above in MGE. However, as I have Vista 64 bit, I can not run any of the batch files associated with them. When I try to load these scenarios without running the batch files, the city and unit graphics load fine, but the terrain always defaults to the standard terrain that comes with Civ 2.

Is there any way to get the correct terrain to load up? I am willing to change any files manually, and also willing to not have the terrain changes for winter. I just want to play!

I have tried to run the batch files in DOSBox, but it makes DOSBox shut down as soon as it runs. When I load the scenario, it still is not working.

Presumably those scenarios use batch files that follow a format originally written for Win9x systems. The choice command found in many of these scripts is not compatible with 64-bit operating systems. The official delevent.exe file, which is often used to swap events files, is also incompatible. See this thread. The solution is probably just a matter of adding a few lines to the batch file.
