...is being so focused on a peaceful builder Space game that you completely forget that having some sort of military presence is nice too, and you have managed to tick off a lot of people somehow via diplomacy over the years, so they DoW on you in the Modern Age, and you've got barely anything to defend with.

I get annoyed when I have a settler and am a tile away from where I want to build a city and notice that the enemy has a settler and is going to beat me to the spot
