So, I got Civ V, but it wont work. Searches have been useless, so I thought this place could help.
It loads all the way to the screen where I have chosen my nation and introduction is being read. "..can your civilization stand the test of time?" CRASH Send error report? Happens every time I try to do it. I am fairly sure it is NOT system requirements. I saw one problem about foreign letters in user name (Finnish here), and changed the name. (Didn't reinstall) Other than that, I have no idea what is causing it Please, I have no idea what to do.

Update your Windows (most recent SP and automatic updates on) and all the drivers (chipset/graphics/sound).

It might help to send us your specs any way. Have you tried to varify the local cache under the game properties in steam? Looks like there is a corrupted file. You may try setting all of the graphics to low and then add things until your option causes a crash.

Replace your memory, if that still does not solve the problem then replace your video card. If that still does not work, purchase a new computer that has a "gaming" video card that handles DirectX11. That is my best guess without knowing your specs. |
