Cool Crash after setting a game

So, I got Civ V, but it wont work. Searches have been useless, so I thought this place could help.

It loads all the way to the screen where I have chosen my nation and introduction is being read. "..can your civilization stand the test of time?"
CRASH
Send error report?

Happens every time I try to do it.

I am fairly sure it is NOT system requirements.
I saw one problem about foreign letters in user name (Finnish here), and changed the name. (Didn't reinstall)
Other than that, I have no idea what is causing it

Please, I have no idea what to do.

Update your Windows (most recent SP and automatic updates on) and all the drivers (chipset/graphics/sound).

It might help to send us your specs any way. Have you tried to varify the local cache under the game properties in steam? Looks like there is a corrupted file. You may try setting all of the graphics to low and then add things until your option causes a crash.

Either they don't need updating or I am doing it wrong.

Tried, didn't work.

I need MUCH more details

And something that works.

Did you keep verifying until it said "All files verified succesfulluy"? Then do it twice more for the heck of it?

Replace your memory, if that still does not solve the problem then replace your video card. If that still does not work, purchase a new computer that has a "gaming" video card that handles DirectX11.

That is my best guess without knowing your specs.
