Bloody hell. Times fly when you're having fun. ;-

Nice to see this thread again.

When I first came here I studied political science in Amsterdam but now I am a farmer and a cooper!

Nah, I'm a lot cleverer than I was ten years ago, because I know how clever I'm not.

I'll keep my mileage.

Wow. I don't even remember when I voted here...1994 FTW!

And a quick check shows that this thread was started in 2004. So the people voting 2000s or younger were toddlers when this was posted...

Now I feel old.

I apparently voted way back when, but never posted. Born in 87. I've been playing Civilization since Civ2 and I've been posting here since roughly when Play the World came out for Civ3.

Born in 1981, first started playing Civ 1 back in 1992 when a family I babysat for had it on their computer. Been hopelessly addicted to the series ever since.

Born in 1988, my first Civ being part 5 that I bought last year. Looking for a new strategy game after being so disappointed in the way how C&C evolved, I'm glad a friend recommended the game to be. The game certainly has interested me enormously into the history of civilizations. I'm also glad that I found these forums, some of you guys really know a lot of history. There's always something interesting to read or to look up =)

Moderator Action: Moved to the Brave New World forum.

The thread's rapidly approaching a decade of use, and maybe there's some new members around to take the sample size to 5000.

IIRC this has never been in OT. It has been moved around within the various editions of Civ though.

My Canada Civilization Idea. People can use this idea for a mod.
UA- Great White North - +2 on tundra, tiles cost -10%, and can move on ice.
UU- Canadian Storm Troopers +1 enemies lose their natural defensive bonus on rough terrain. (Great War Infantry replacement)
UI- Snow farms - Farms can be built on snow giving +1 and +1 ( Unlocks at Fertilizer)
