Thoughts: Good until the last ten minutes. The very last scene was touching but I wish they'd set it up better for season 2. (Rather like the ATLA finale, come to think of it). There were some aspects to it that really made me mad, but overall I liked it. Guess it's time to start waiting again. 7.5/10
Korra power rankings: Episode 6: And The Winner Is... 3: The Revelation 9: Out Of The Past 8: When Extremes Meet 10: Turning The Tides 5: The Spirit Of Competition 11: Skeletons In The Closet 2: A Leaf In The Wind 1: Welcome To Republic City 4: A Voice In The Night 7: The Aftermath More to come later

Sorry for possible double post but on a semi non-related topic:

I agree. I think there will be something akin to the Aang-Yakone story or the the Kyoshi-Chin the Great story (only more in depth and more drawn out.) where a fully fledged Avatar Korra will have to deal with a major threat to balance. Moreover, I trust the creators' ability to establish stakes and craft a dangerous scary villain for somebody as strong as a fully realized Avatar to fight, possibly in the process altering her own view on life.

Yeah. It still has that same nice blend of wit and seriousness that made ATLA such a good show. The characters aren't quite as good, but the city and universe Bryke create is rich and immersive. Zuckerman actually manages to outdo himself on the music, which I think far and away exceeds ATLA's. The action is great and the animation is superb. So in short, yes, it is worth watching.

I loved Legend of Korra. But they needed 12 more episodes in the initial story arc to really flesh things out to sheer epic awesomeness.
I was solely disappointed when Korra got back her Water, Earth and Firebending. I was convinced that the second season had her travel around the world so she could reconnect her spiritual link with the other elements while improving her connection with airbending and spirituality so that she can do more than air punch her way to victory. It would be cool seeing her retrace GAang's steps at the Spirit Oasis in the Northern Water Tribe, visit Firelord Zuko on Crescent Island or something like that (and learn what happened to his mother) and go to Omashu or Ba Sing Se to see some sacred earthbending shrine, while making a pitstop at the Southern Air Temple. But noooooooooooooooo. Dues ex machina her bending back.
