If you have a decent computer, decent connection, a friend to party-play with, yeah I would 100% recommend it. It's not much fun if you play alone vs total strangers but it can be an absolute blast with a friend or two on voice chat (in my opinion at least).

It's free to play, easy to get into, and it's very user-friendly unlike Heroes of Newerth.

Got my June SAT scores back. 1990. Literally 10 points below 2000.

However, with my other SAT, my superscore is 2010.

dota 2 better than LoL nonsense (I actually haven't played LoL, but dota/dota 2 definitely better by seeing people talk about what is different between LoL and dota).

plus you don't have to do things like pay for heroes or whatever. Dota 2 is actually free (but in an invite beta currently).

Err, you don't have to pay for heroes. You have to pay for different skins for your heroes, but that is more customization than actual impact on how you play.

League is definitely worth playing, if you have a friend who'll show you the ropes. Going in solo is a bit of a daunting experience, and the playerbase can be somewhat...harsh...especially in early levels.

I've been playing LoL for about two years now. It's free to play; nevertheless I've sunk about $60 into it and never looked back.
