The only TRUE way to play G&K!!
I prefer large "shuffle" map with "random civ", epic speed, ancient era, emperor difficulty. Disable new random seed!
What do you feel is the "true way" to experience G&K? |

I do love shuffle, it adds a lot of excitement when you first begin exploring the world

How does shuffle differ from the old random map selector? I like small maps, which IMHO are large enough, to be honest.

Does it only chose between basic map types, like Pangea, Continents and Archipelago, or can it also pick maps that normal Random will ignore, like Lakes, Ice Age, Europe, etc?

I swear that Archipelago is one of the most boring maps ever....also, the Amazon map (too slow), which I only like because you can get polder and billions of science as the Dutch.

Largest world map possible, true earth locations, preferably starting in the middle of Europe and having to force myself through at least 5 civilizations and city-states in order to found my second city.
1. Challenges are fun 2. If I'm going to conquer the world, I want to conquer the real world, MUCH more satisfactory. |

Bonus question: are all the map types scripts? Or are some of them completely static? How can I tell which are static from the menu?
