Not gonna do it.
Maybe GaK will fix some of the glaring flaws in CiV, but I won't spend my money on a 'maybe'. If GaK does fix CiV, I will buy it, but not before I know what I'm buying.

The life cycle of civ games is 4-5 years, so you can be sure that it'll be released earliest in 2014

Civ 5 was released in dec 2010, so in fact it will probably be earliest 2015 then. Ah well.... as long as Civ 4 BtS can entertain me the wait is ok.
