v28 and v29 crashing middle of game

I have quite a few cities, 12 civs and 24 CSs.

Please try to use this new version instead, tell me if it changes something.

PS: Last time I told you to try to open and close IGE four times in a row with autosave enabled. If you did, I would have discovered that bug sooner.

Now the first civ5 bug is that sometimes moved units are still listed as being on the city plot (a warrior when there was also a great engineer for example - doesn't make sense but it happens) and this sometimes caused an infinite loop ("while there are units in the city move them"). The second civ5 bug is that, after some units have been moved but not really moved (first bug), IsCanPuchaseCity returns true ("this city can purchase that unit") when it should be false ("the unit is still there and blocking the purchase"). This results in IGE buying the unit but the unit not being bought, hence the missing error message and faith being increased.
I prevented the infinite loop to happen and added a special check to detect false positives. In this last case IGE will tell you it couldn't find a city to purchase although you won't understand why since city X should be able to buy it according to you.

Now it also means that teleporting units can cause strange bugs I won't be able to prevent. Oh yes Firaxis, whip me hard!
Isn't nice to have an easy fix? The only mods i use i am trying to have around 10 mods With now not more than 6 civs and around 3 if needed... IGE, CSD, Culture Diff., Echoes of Ages, a wonder pack, infoaddict, and some of Whohowards mods... if needed the "have fun! cheat" mod.

So basically don't use the teleporting unless you get "interesting things" will happen. Its just one of those Firaxis gifts to you...as there is ALWAYS a catch.

Actually, it would be more like "don't use teleporting from or to cities". But even with that, it would require more testing: maybe the effects vanish after some frames, etc. I have no idea. ^^

How do I create a great prophet? In units, I see every great person except that one.

Is it a bug or not available for the same reasons as missionaries/inquisitors?

Since Firaxis didn't provide a way to set the religion of a unit, I cannot magically create religious unit: they would be religious! This is why missionaries and inquisitors are actually bought then teleported. And since great prophets cannot be bought...

No worries, I figured that out.
from v29 so far i'm avioding the teleporting period. and the fix is good. I'm still playing around with mods that likes or hates IGE...turned off CSD and EoA

The only trick is... go into the religion view click on the scroll of what you want to purchase faith from. Have that on Great Prophet. Then go into IGE and increase the faith. Next turn you get that Great Prophet.

CSD =City State Diplomacy Mod
EOA= Echoes Of Ages

BTW dont use them, but i read your thread to get some news.
Also no problems for me, using latest version and i love it

i get a whole bunch of missing GUI that prevents me from using the editor.

Hello and welcome on CF!
Are you using the v28 version? Is this the only error? Do you have G&K or not? Is your game up-to-date?
EDIT: Apparently this bug happens with cracked versions, see this post from Spatz's Alpha Centauri mod.

I just tested CSD v31 and EoA v57 and there was nothing wrong with them. What drove you say IGE hates them please?

I'm testing different mods to see if they are going work with IGE or not at all. I went for those 2 1st to see if theres a change or its not them. The freezing is annnoying as i managed to complete the game without a lag. I had those 2 mods turned off and had lag or any freezing with them off.

As i'm just limiting where it can lag at. Still going for not more than 6 civs...along with either using a tiny to a large map.

Oh! Yeah, but those lags are not related to IGE (unless at the very moment you use IGE maybe). Again, when IGE is closed, it does not cause lags.
But, yeah, civ5 was already slow and it's even slower since the pre-G&K patch.

Aside of that, I just made a little mod that regenerate the map on my hard drive.
The code is now polished and everything is working as intended, so I only have to add a minimalist UI. I still haven't decided whether it will be in IGE or as a separate mod, or both.

I know they are not IGE related. thats why i'm checking if its going play nice with IGE. my suggestion have it as a separate mod...just incase any fun loving bugs comes out to play with that and on IGE.

I have tried with a fully updated game and the very first version of Civ V, no joy...
My error is the exact same as the above thread, i have actually been looking for the files online but no luck there either.

At the moment i lost my job over at sub way so there is no way for me to buy any games on steam just yet until i find another job haha!

I have used all types of the ingame editor v26 to v28, none work :/

Any help would be great, thanks!
