Started Playing Again!!!!
Bought Civ 3 Complete on steam and started playing again. I used to play this game when I was in school staying up till daft o clock at night after getting in!What a game! For me its the best Civ game so far I know some people hate it! I used to play with a trainer (oops) but none of them work with the Complete Steam version! Have discovered it alot more fun to play without cheats and I'm hooked again.I'm using Rhyes Of Civ Expanded mod on Regent difficulty and its bloody hard! Luckily I'm England and I'm nice and safe on my little island racking up culture and trailing behind in science but my cities are very productive so I can spam Units when I need too! It's hard getting used to it after cheating in the past but its alot more rewarding! They need to make Civ 6 somewhat like Civ3s colourful simplistic graphics and not make it some sort of graphical show off like Civ 5.. after playing Civ 4 and 5 I cant help but feel like its turned into a different game all together. |

Yep make the hours fly by as you progress just a few years per day on a large map with lots to do per turn.

I went from civ 2 to civ 4.
I only recently got civ 3. It's a lot harder. I think the gameplay is more lively. I think I like it better than 4, but maybe it's just the newness of it. |

Is there a way to have unlimited turns? <-- [EDIT] Sorry daft question which has been already been answered!
Regent on Rhys Of Civ Expanded seems ****ing hard!! Im already at 1940 and I'm only halfway through medieval era and germany are trying to wipe me out with musketmen. I'm worried that I should just start a new game maybe lower difficulty but thats quitting.... Last edited by Fweepy; Jul 13, 2012 at 04:21 AM. |

Yep dont quit, if you learn by loosing you will be better next time, if you quit you wont have learnt.
Dont forget to get techs bought and sold, you cant research it all yourself. |

I'm not going too just have to try harder.. My plan is to spam units and just have as many Knights as I can cross over onto the mainland and harrass germany.. take city defend/heal and then attack again maybe that way I will be able to bring them down a bit. It will just be pretty hard!
Quick one.. You had any luck with using Civ3MultiTool on windows 7? |
