All I meant to say is if a replacement is needed turn orders and timezones aren't so important to a game that would otherwise grind to a halt.

Bathsheba's been here a while so he probably knows people to take his position. But it's an 18 player game though so a fair chunk of the current community is probably involved already.

Anyway if someone needs a sub anytime soon I wouldn't mind.

Given how slow this game is, with some people taking three days or more to play their turn, and a few doing this significantly often, I am unlikely to be away long enough to make a disproportionate drag on proceedings.

Also, I am at war at the moment, and do not really want to cede even a single turn in case something crops up.

At the start of the game my neighbour decided to crowd me out and plant a city right on my borders, an explorer settler taking advantage of the 10 turns of peace.

From the perpective of either the long term, or the insult, it was necessary to remove this city so I duly did this. This was quite a while ago now, so I am expecting consequences to follow.

I don't know if the initial placement was down to aggression or naivety, but in either case an attack would not be a surprise.

After the sack of the city, there has been no further action, but neither is there a peace treaty.
