Can you email it to me, Tasonne? I've emailed BT, but got no response this afternoon.

I've resent it to Tasonne. I should mention I'm at +2.00 GMT at the moment, so I was asleep when that happened.
I played the save on my laptop, put it on my phone, and wandered around for wifi until I could send it via email. I don't see why that would be a problem, but if this doesn't work, you can skip my turn, I suppose.

Thanks for the effort, BT. I know being on the road can be tough.

Don't worry about it bro, you're a more attentive player than half the people we've played with. We'll get this figured out. Quote:
I just don't understand why I cannot possibly open this 'supposed' zipped file. I have jZip and since the email have tried both winRAR and winZip. It's like his cell phone used some kind of zip format/program that I'm unable to deal with.. |

I didn't think it was a problem to send it from my phone, as I got the file from Lowlands that way as well. It's just easier to use my phone than carrying my laptop around. I'll try to get a chance to send it via my laptop ASAP.

In a troubled part of the world, I can imagine someone may have scrambled your signal, BT.

It may not have even been zipped. I looked into what you sent. It has to do with the first portionof the message/save. This is what Wikipedia says about it.
ISO/IEC 8859 is a joint ISO and IEC series of standards for 8-bit character encodings. Apparently, the phone system where BT was couldn't send/duplicate/interpret some of the characters. It was just a processing problem.

I believe I know how you got it to work, Tasonne.
The save that you sent me had a file name of Tsar Nicolas II of the Russians, Wk 5 1895 AD.SAV. When I opened it, the Opening Title box said "Tsar Tsar Nicolas II of the Russians, Wk 5 1895 AD. But it was the end of your turn and asked you to save. Was this a SAV file from the first game? I'm supposed to be on Wk 2, I think. Can you check?

The turns are every 4 weeks ie 1st turn is Week 1.....2nd turn is Week 5.....3rd turn is Week 9 and so on. So looks like the right save to me. |

You're right, I don't. I mostly play my own Mods. This week-end was my first time playing. I did play about 30 turns this morning, but didn't notice the week numbers.
I'm tellin' ya, the opening of the save was REALLY weird. I've opened up a lot of saves, and this one was a head-scratcher. Please resed the save, Tasonne.

You should try to play it as much as possible single player now to get a good grasp. |

Acronym hasn't posted in 8 days. Do we have an email for him?
