Pantheons get wiped upon religious conversion.
I was recently in a multiplayer game where one of our team members was ordered to spread a religion while the rest of us just kept with pantheons.
I couldn't find any information in the civilopedia about what happens if a city with your pantheon converts to a religion with a different pantheon, do you keep or lose it? so we decided to test, and sure enough, if your city switches religion you lose your pantheon and acquire the pantheon of the religion you converted to. just an answer for anyone asking really, thanks. The owner of the religion shares its pantheon to any city following that religion.
So him spreading his religion to you - means he also spread his pantheon to you - replacing yours
