That UB would be ridiculously powerful in some cases and useless in others.

Exactly, and he is probably the most well known leader from Indiana.

The traits were sarcastic by the way.

After the recent awesomeness of yorkshire in the london 2012 Olympics ( we'd have got 11th in the medal tables if yorkshire was considered an separate country) i think we deserve this.

Jeremy Clarkson (Char/Exp)
UU Yorkshire worker, all tiles are built at 50% faster
UB Farmers Market, replaces market +1 gold for every farm tile

UU: LAV III, replaces mechanized infantry (stronger and faster than mech inf. but also more expensive)
UB: Technical Institute, replaces university and generates gold as well as science.

Hah! This brings back memories. I made several transcontinental train trips as vacations in the 80s, passing of course, through Minot. On one of them I befriended a passanger who lived in ND. I asked why there were so many gravel roads, small chain link fence enclosures and radio communications towers in such a flat & uninhabited expanse of wheatstubble and pasture.

You guessed it, Minuteman missile silos. He said that with three strategic bomber wings and over 60m Minuteman silos, ND was the 3rd most powerful place upon the planet, after the USSR and the rest of the USA.

Peru:
Leader: Ollanta Humala (since he is the current president) Charismatic, Financial.
Ramon Castilla (a dictator, but he abolished the slavery and yadda yadda) Charismatic, Ind.
UU: Sinchi, replaces Marine, Starts with Woodsman II and March, no amphibious promotion ( how did they survived without food and medicines? march is the answer)

UB:Hypermarket, replaces supermarket, only 120, +2 in cities with less than 10 improvements.*

*When in a peruvian city they build something, necessary or not, people become happy, really, this is a RL fact.

Well, next game you can change the names and World Builder yourself some nukes and bombers and have yourself a great time.

Wisconsin

Scott Walker- Financial/ Spiritual

UB- Dairy, can only be built in a city with cattle. Produces cheese health food resource.

UU- Attack sub . Can be built in any city with a coast or river. ( During WWII, Wisconsin's heavy industry and many machinists were utilized building subs, which were placed on or attached to barges and floated down the Mississippi) .

UU: Ranger, replaces Cavalry
+50% attack against barbarians, maybe +1 movement

UB: Oil Refinery, replaces Coal plant
provides +1 production (I refuse to call them hammers!) and 1 less unhealthiness (for a total of 1)
Obviously, requires oil instead of coal
or rangers could get -50% revolt chance -1 as a special bonus

On what historical grounds? I don't think any Texas cities ever tried to revolt, other than the civil war, which most rangers likely supported.

Hm. I'd need to invent a new trait, Seafaring.

Seafaring
+10% ship production
-20% coastal city maintenance

Denmark

UU: Korsridder (Replaces Maceman. 8 strength, 1 move. +50% against melee units. Gets a bonus move when attacking from the sea.)
UB: Pig Farm (Replaces Factory. Same stats but provides Pig and gives +10% food.)

Margaret I
Seafaring/Imperialistic

The government is corrupt, and we're on so many drugs with the radio on and the curtains drawn. We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death. The sun has fallen down, and the billboards are all leering, and the flags are all dead at the top of their poles. It went like this: The buildings tumbled in on themselves. Mothers clutching babies, picked through the rubble and pulled out their hair. The skyline was beautiful on fire, all twisted metal stretching upwards. Everything washed in a thin orange haze. I said; "Kiss me, you're beautiful - these are truly the last days." You grabbed my hand and we fell into it, like a daydream or a fever. We woke up one morning and fell a little further down, for sure it's the valley of death. I open up my wallet and it's full of blood.

Yeah, I guess. I still think that +1 movement would make more sense for their type, mounted being quick-strike units.

For it to be +1 happiness or -50% revolt chance, they would have to be garrisoned... Which you do not generally do with cavalry, right?
