~ When you found the capital on a hill you won't get the +50% defence because you have alrady the 50% bonus from the palace. Then the only advantage you get is +50% attack.

If you want to see your strategies here, I will value them (well, I don't want to put here 10 romans strategy, 50 americans strategy, etc..), then I will tell you what is wrong, what is right or if I post straight the strategy. If you want, send me a PM or reply here and I will add the new strategies.

Wait... how are YOU going to tell US what is wrong or right with OUR strategies? That's called censorship, which kind of defeats the purpose of accepting input altogether. If you want control over what you include then you should call it "MorteEterna's Civilization Revolution Guide."

Well, however in some way I can't put here everything. Maybe we can just vote or put a limit, but I don't want to put here hundreds of strategies.

If you want to see here strategies, try to write them as good as possible, then I will edit and put them. However as I said, this would be a stupid archive if I put here every strategy, then I think there should be a maximum of 2 o 3 strategies for the same CIVILIZATION

Wait... How can you even think of making this thread a sticky, with Morte as a filter for the archive. Yes, make an archive for strategies, good idea, but make sure that everybody or a Mod can Admin the archive. IMO, this thread is a dead thread just because of the source/admin of the info, and I´m in shock that you Mods can even think of giving such an "honor" to this member.

I agree with Hertsh. Once this thread got stickied, I was thinking, "Who the hell would do that?". So, I clicked it to look and see if any new "Morte Approved" strategy guides were here. Like I had thought, no new strategy guides were here, other then Morte's every-day rusher guides.

I was thinking about not posting, as that is the best thing to do against someone who trys to seek-out attention (tune down the colours, please?), but I had to make a point. Make this filtered by the community, and I'd like it a lot better. Someone's opinion is no better than another persons especially if that person isn't even number 1 on the leaderboards.

The funny thing is that you come here WITHOUT READING, than say I should add 10'000 strategies. Maybe you don't understand that if I put here EVERY STRATEGY it would be the same as SEARCH, then USELESS. And as I said, it's not only me, you can vote it. And if you think you are better than me, why do you lose to me having 1 city against 20? Bah, you know only how to insult. I wouldn't answer in this way if you would talk better. I seem only to see good strategies considered bad and bad strategies considered really good (not talking about mine). And, I would like to know why mods should mod this, I mean, they can mod whatever they want but. Then, you say a strategy and we 'vote it'. As I said, putting here 10000 strategies is NOT useful, maybe you don't understand, you only want to flame. And, when I say I should be the first, is because I played since the start, know the players, and many good players just avoid me and others

I played more than 1000 games, know what could be a good idea or what couldn't be. Then, don't tell me I am a noob. If you count the leaderboards, than I SHOULD BE the first, I got 6 resets, not what you call frozen games (that happened to me a lot however, at least 100 times), I mean going from 1600 points to 1200, without losing win/loss record. Maybe you will never understand this, because when one likes to insult he only likes that

Then, don't come here saying bad things about me, and it becomes more ridicolous if you lost two times out of two without giving me any problems. The second time with spanish you played better than the first time however, I admit it, but with indians you did nothing while you said they were a good civ, and you started with school of confucius near you that is a huge bonus.

I added some strategies, I will see for other ones, but I won't put here 10 russian strategies for example, that's not useful.

First off, I'd like to apologise. My last sentance of my previous post was clearly a jab at you, Morte, and I'd like to apologise for that. Secondly, I know you are a good CivRev player, and I do know you are better than me, and better then mostly everyone else. But, I still do think if we are going to have this as a strategy archive, that threads being accepted into here should be talked about by the community. Morte, your opinion is good; I'm not saying it is wrong. I just believe if everyone can give input on potential threads you want to add, this archive would be more widely accepted and liked, that's all.

The point we were trying to get across is that this thread is stickied as "The Civ Rev Strategy Archive," but in your initial post you made a statement that you alone had the power to accept or reject submitted strategies based on your opinion of what is good and what is bad.

If a strategy is submitted, it should be posted, whether you (no matter how good you are) agree with it or not. Just because a strategy isn't the collectively agreed upon "best," doesn't mean it is useless or not worth attempting for another player.

Ok but we should have some kind of limits of strategies. I mean, if you put here every strategy you see, how could those help players? They have just got to read more strategies. I don't know how much clearer I can say this without being rude. What is a good strategy to you, may be not so good to someone else. What you find useless, another player may thoroughly enjoy trying. Useful is a term that is relative to every single person that plays this game. And a player doesn't have to read through hundreds of strategies if the title gives a decent idea of what the strategy is about. You come across with a lot of ego in your posts and by assuming that somehow you are the best qualified to determine what is or isn't a strategy worth posting.

Honestly, it's not even about you. If this site is going to have a specific folder called "Strategy Archives," it should be run and monitored by a moderator of this site, not a special playground for one forum poster. That's all some of us want to see.
