This was a stat I didn't know about this economic crisis. It is interesting that apparently the majority of the workforce will soon be women not men. Well it makes sense, women in the workforce get paid less and they're often easier to push around for various socialised reasons. Why wouldn't you fire the dudes first in a downturn?

The whole country is much more mobile today though than ever before, though so likewise I wouldn't be surprised by some significant demographics shifts in the next few years to areas where jobs are better (which is already happening in the Rust Belt, but I could see it happening more and elsewhere too). |
