Turn chat 1340 AD (June 16)
The next scheduled turn chat is on Sunday, June 16, 2002 at 11:59 pm Greenwich time which is 6:59 pm east coast US time.
Turn chat 1315 AD (June 9) Save game: phoenatica1340ad.zip Turn chat 1360 AD (June 18) War has broken out on our borders! Greece has invaded the land of the Iroquois and captured the city of Oka. India has joined the war on the side of Greece and has lost Hieraconpolis to the Iroquois. Now is the time to put our excess treasury into CAP. It is our destiny to spread Phoenatica's culture to these warring nations! The construction of our National Railway System (NRS) We are 4 turns away from connecting Fox Nest to Malinalco and Khatovar. Pherris, PDX, Philadelphia and Civanatoria are all connected by the PPP&C RR. The Thebes-Heliopolis-Alexandria line will be completed in 5 turns. Rail laying crews are approaching Byblos from the west and are working to connect Memphis and Thebes. New York will be connected to the Seattle-San Fran line in 3 turns. Boston-Valhall-Atlanta will be ready in 2 turns. We have continued upgrading our military. Our two catapults were upgraed to cannons. We have one musket and 22 pikemen left. We have 33 riflemen and 24 cavalry. We still have 15 immortals and our army of immortals. We should consider halting our military upgrades. The 100 gold per pikemen that we are spending could be better used in CAP. With factories coming on line we can build riflemen rather than upgrade them. We have learned medicine and are now considering selling this science to other countries. We must consider this carefully as it will impact our wonder building program. We must also formulate long term plans for building universal suffrage, ,theory of evolution, Hoover dam and our military academy. Please do not use this as a discussion thread! Leaders and governors should now be posting their turn chat instructions here!

The Trade Department options were already discussed in the June 12th turn chat at turn 5. There are also instructions from that turn chat that have yet to be completed.

The Province of Kashmir
As of now the build queues are:
Cyrus - granary, aqueduct, marketplace Heliopolis - university, granary, cathedral Alexandria - university, marketplace, granary The citizens working the tiles can stay as they are. I would like to see the worker building railroad track next to the road west of Cyrus slide down and put some track next to the road on the other irrigated plain when he is down. Thank you.

Domestic Department
Science: 60%
Taxes: 40% Budget Allocations: Rush a university in Abydos, 288 gold Rush a university in Alexandria, 236 gold Military Upgrades: 100gold The foreign affairs instructions for gifts in the next post are also approved. Remember not to go below 1000 gold. The tax rate may be adjusted at any time when it will not affect the research speed. The Domestic Department requests that only 4 turns be played in this session to allow a poll regarding a change in tech queues in light of completion of the TOE.

Turn 0
Iroquois: Gift 1 gpt Renegotiate ROP so it is plain ROP for ROP. Greece: Renegotiate ROP to also get 3gpt and 15 gold from them. Turn 5 Iroquois: Gift 2 gpt Other It is recommended to halt new trade with Greece. It is also suggested to halt new favourable trade to India. The FA would not strictly object to such deals, but offers these recommendations. |

Summary, final save and log
Final save: phoenatica1360ad.zip
Chat log: june16log.zip Turn chat 1360 AD (June 18) Summary The long awaited opening of the Phoenatic Phoreign Physicals & Pharmacolgy (PPP&P) a division of Tech Sales, Inc. with branch ophices in Pherris and Philadelphia, came in 1340 AD. There was a long line of customers that first day of business. Hiawatha was first in line and he paid 70 gold and 14 gpt for the services of PPP&P. He also taught us about a strange government called communism and showed us how to better organize our business ventures into corporations. Hamurabi was next in line and he paid for his physical with 120 gold and furs. Gandhi was next in line. Knowing how much he is know to jack up the price of his silks and realizing our silk for ivory deal is about to expire, we charge Gandhi 100 gold up front and 52 gpt for his physical. Gandhi's best buddy Alex was next in line and we charged him 20 gold down and 44 gpt. Ceasar and Shaka were last in line but they had no gold. We told them to get some health insurance and come back later. Mao and Elizabeth apparently couldn't read the invitations PPP&P sent out. Universities were opened in Thebes, Abydos. Alexandria and Heliopolis. President donsig proposed naming these colleges after Curufinwe, Punkbass2000, Justus II and Cyc. This group to be henceforth known as the Four Horsemen of the Acropolis. (Hey, that's as cultural as I get!) Philadelphia contributed greatly to the National Employment Program (NEP) by recruiting 3 or 4 workers. Justinian and Plexia recruited military units as the President wondered where certain governors where... We are 8 tiles away from having Fox Nest and Thebes connected to each other and 16 other cities by the the National Railway System (NRS). Three more tiles will bring much of Ameri onto the NRS. Paville (a suburb of Seattle) was founded on the bay. this city was named by Chiefpaco. We have learned scientific method and have started working on the theory of evolution in Fox Nest. It will be done in 16 turns or less. he military academy in Pherris will be ready in 6 turns and we are still 4 turns away from granting universal suffrage in PDX. We have stocked up on gold: our treasury now stands at 2044 gold. Hiawatha asked for an alliance against Greece and we refused. The Greeks have captured Gandasetaigon from the Iroquois. End of summary - the rest is notes, sort of a mini turn chat log. Turn chat 1340 AD (June 16) notes 1340 AD, 1041 gold, +148 gpt, scientific method in 4 turns, 4.6.0 at start Istar build queue done per governor Normandy build queues done per governor Normany city optimization done per governor Kashmir build queues done per governor RoP with Hiawatha renegotiated per FA. Greece is still anoyed. Asphinxia build queues done per governor Medicne sold to Hiawatha for WM, 70 gold, 14 gpt, communism and the corporation. Hiawatha is still cautious. Medicine sold to Babylon for furs, WM and 120 gold. Babylon goes from furious to annoyed. England and China cannot buy medicine. Rome and Shaka have nothing to offer. Medicine sold to Aztecs for WM and 30 gold. Montezuma still furious. Tried to renegotiate deal with Zulus but they're broke. Canceled sale of spices for 4 gpt. Gave the spices to Shaka instead. Zulus now polite. Medicine sold to Gandhi for WM, 110 gold and 52 gpt. India remains cautious. Medicine sold to Greece for WM, 20 gold and 44 gpt. Alex is still annoyed.
