While playing the Americans I got the Aztecs to agree to a military alliance against the germans. A while later I sued for peace and got it, the next turn the Aztecs did the same. Ever since it has still shown the military alliance even though all three of us are at peace with each other.

Thanks to Dragula Dragon for the screenshot.

I think there was once a strat guide named peaceful war (hint hint)

Nice screenie though...it does look a lot like the cold war :)

Kind of early in the game for taking a rep hit, wasn't it?

If only that was Russia instead of germany... :mischief:

That's because an MA can't be cancelled for 20 turns, no matter what.

Actually, I believe Military Alliances can be cancelled. Try backstabbing your ally or invading a person with whom they have an MPP, you'll see the Military Alliance go away real fast; though in the second situation they will likely be happy to settle for peace. By the way, MA usually refers to Modern Armor not Military Alliance.

Really? ;) I don't remember that... ;) I think I ;) recall that I ;) read such a thing. But the author of it ;) said that you could plant forests in AI territory ;) and I tried that ;) and it didn't work ;) (ok I know that 1.29 disallows that)

I think that's cool. However when everyone's angry at you it's not a good sign...
