20 new title screens
I'll post in this thread 20 title screens I've made during holidays. There are 10 paintings and 10 photos, I've gathered them in 4 packages. I'll start posting previews and packages in next post.
I hope you will like them. ![]() Edit: All packages are available in two versions. One is for vanilla Civ and the other is for Conquests. The main difference between them is that title screens for vanilla Civ have an overlay which makes menu more visible. Version for Conquests does not have that overlay. I haven't tested these title screens with neither PTW nor Conquests (because I don't have them), but I've been told that this overlay is not needed in expansion packs. All previews are from version for vanilla Civ. Polish paintings were downloaded from: http://kozacy.in4.pl/ Last edited by Mariusz; Feb 24, 2004 at 10:08 AM. |

This package contains some paintings of the greatest polish painters. Package (2.6 MB): for vanilla Civ: mpz_paintings01.zip for Conquests: mpz_c3c_paintings01.zip Previews: Ostroleka.pcx - Juliusz Kossak "Battle of Ostroleka" ![]() Gniewosz.pcx - Juliusz Kossak "Krzysztof Gniewosz" - Krzysztof Gniewosz is the guy in the middle defending the flag ![]() Grunwald.pcx - Jan Matejko "Battle of Grunwald" - actually it's just a fragment of a bigger painting presenting the whole battle ![]() Olszynka.pcx - Wojciech Kossak "Battle of Olszynka Grochowska". This one is probably my favourite. ![]() Parkany.pcx - Juliusz Kossak "Battle of Parkany"

It's in polish, but there aren't many links so you shouldn't have problems with navigating it (just click on "Spis artystow" and you'll get to index of painters). |

I will most of these as well. I have to avoid one. I don't think my wife would appreciate seeing that one. Thank you for the alternatives.

I love these! Are they good for Conquests, too, though? The buttons are on a different location, you know.
(I have NEVER changed the title screens before, so I don't know much about it, but I know it's gotta be really easy). |

PTW had the buttons more to the middle, and Conquests has the buttons on the center (more to the left) of the screen.

The only problem here is which one to use! They are all really good. Thank-you.

Would definitely like to see something that would look good in Conquests...
Keep it up! They look great!

Hey, there is one more cool thing to do. The game hideous splash screen... They are in 640*480*256 and are located at the root directory for the game and xpacks. It would be great not to have to support the Atari logo.

These are not the greatest but the worst polish painters
![]() Nevertheless the pictures are fitting perfectly. To make them compatible with PTW & C3C just remove the menu overlay (it's not needed at all for expansion packs menus, they look differently). |

If these were redone for Conquests I would be a very happy man.
