Star Trek unit: Reman battleship "Scimitar"

The Scimitar is a huge vessel built by the Reman rebels on a secret base. Apparently superior to any ship of either the Federation or the Romulans, the Scimitar is capable of firing while cloaked. It is also equipped with a talaron emitter, a weapon that destroys any organic tissue. The talaron emitter is activated by unfolding the wings of the vessel. There is at least one large shuttlebay with dozens of Scorpion-class fighters.

Thanks at all

The fire should be a plasma jet of the explosion.

If I'm not badly mistaken, the tank is also called Scimitar and made by BeBro for his Falkland Islands scenario.

Edit: And oh yes, the ship itself looks spectacular. Don't do space mods though so it's not of use for myself.

Hey, Morpheus! The units are lovely
But there is one slight little problem...the phasers and torpedoes of all the units so far (Defiant, Enterprise-A, Bird of Prey, Scimitar) seem to go through the units and explode some place else
I basically tested the units as land units...gave it 'ranged attack' property and set them against a warrior...tried to attack from all 8 directions and it didn't quite work out...perhaps you can fix this little bug(?) I think all you need to do is adjust your animations a little so that the torpedoes and phasers explode at the center of the enemy unit...tell me what you think, ok?

Oh, Morpheus!

I got another idea...when I attacked another unit with the the Bird of Prey, Defiant, and Scimitar that have cloack animation.
The units cloaked, decloaked and then started attacking enemy units.

You know in this unit forum there are shadow units (like "shadow warrior") which look transparent. That got me thinking. Perhaps you can redesign the animations...the default animation for the bird of Prey, Defiant, and Scimitar can be slightly transparent (they are slightly cloaked?)...for attack animations or death, they first uncloak (so from slightly transparent they become fully visible) and then start attacking or explode depending on death or attack.
For fortifying animations, from slightly transparent, they can completely disappear (so slightly visible to invisible). What do you think? Please tell me...keep up the good work!

Hi spiky82,

thanks for your comments

First to the problem of the attack animations. The long ranged attack setting only works if both units are having that setting. In the StarTrek mod all units would have that type of attack setting so that the hit point is ok. A warrior don't has a long ranged attack animation, so the starship moves closer and the hit point of the weapons is behind the warrior. Fortunately, warriors are not often in space

Your idea with the cloak animation is not bad . You should post your idea to the StarTrek mod thread thread, so we could discuss your idea. If the mod team accept it, I will try to realize your idea with the first klingon unit. And if it's real cool I will redesign the romulan units, too
