This is one of the best book of Middle ages: the Divine comedy by Dante Alighieri. The story is simple: the author make a trip in the 3 world of souls: Hell, Purgatory and Heaven.

Available with theology, make 2 citizens happy, create culture and religious flag.

Nel mezzo del cammin di nostra vita...

Obviously yes.

This is the most famous Dante portrait on Florence dome.
You can see Florence on right side, the hell door on left and the purgatory mountain on background. The heaven is divided on skyes, one for each planet.

I'm not quite sure what the splash is supposed to be, but it looks nice.

I like it. I can't use it as what it is, but I can use it for some kind of good vs evil thing in my mod. Maybe produce a unit.

I don't post enough for you but your work is great.:thumbsup:

Por Dios!

Downloading again. Thanks. :goodjob:

At this rate, Western Christian civs in my mod/scenario will become way overpowered compared to the others. :(

My favorite book, thank you!

@Rufus: John Lennon... I have one too:

"Welcome to the abandoned land,
Come on in child, take my hand,
here there's no work or play
only one bill to pay
there's just five words to say,
as you go down, down, down..."

What are those five words?:satan:

I love this thread, Dante, and John Lennon, Rock on guys!!

I'd quote my fav Lennon tune, Mind Games, but the whole song
"contains a map of it all".

So what are the five words??

If you like the comedy, you must known the Ulysses speech on XXVI chapter:

Ye were not made to live like unto brutes,
But for pursuit of virtue and of knowledge.

 just kidding, i couldnt recall the Latin off the top of my head:confused: , as probably with most of the Comedy. I wish i could recite a line or two but i cant think of at the time.

this is the greatest quote on the book:

"Lasclante Ogne Esperanza voi ch'intrare"
spooky...(is it spelled correctly?)
