That was not a riddle, she is pissed because I "banned" her in J5WWL unless her posts complied with the rules (5 words, making sense). I guess she reported mes and posted this to show off.

^JoanK has the rather annoying habit to guess all the riddles and then call open floor, thus killing this ;)

Sorry, but I don't know how to make riddles! :(
Although, I'm good solving them, apparently :p

Think of a solution first, then list the specifics of that solution and come up with a way to describe those.
They don't have to be hard. Look at the last few, they were relatively easy, no offence to anyone.

for example, a riddle I created earlier in this thread:

I started with the solution:
The Geuzen capture Den Briel
Then I listed a few specifics:
The event happened on April 1st
Den Briel was occupied by the Spanish led by the Duke of Alva aka The Iron Duke
Captured by the Watergeuzen who were recently evicted from their harbors in England
The Geuzen never intended to capture Den Briel but were blown into the harbor by a storm
Finally I created the riddle:
The joke was on the man of metal
When the homeless
driven by wind
were surprised to find a home

I'll assume an open floor and take the riddle:

Marching across oceans,
Over mountains and hills.
The one thing he learned
Is that his own tactics kill.

It might be a bit vague, so I will give a hint if requested.

Confederate hopes were high
To destroy the union
And the union did try
To preserve itself
But the situation was hopeless
Numbers were on the southern side
Confederate victory was doubtless
But when it came time for the spoils
Confederation crumbled, and war ensued
And the man in the asylum
Was vindicated

Gettysburg?
