So I think running to Currency and Markets seems trhe way to go on the tech front. Any future GSci could go for Astro maybe.

Still haven't had a proper chance to look at the save. Will try tonight.

Nice turn set. Don't feel bad about Askia, unless he loses his capital to an AI and we liberate it he's going to vote for himself anyhow.
The key for us is going to be cash. We need to generate revenue in order to buy city states' alliance and gain access to their happy resources, as well as their diplomatic votes.
I tend to not sign OB with the AI unless it benefits me. If they're stronger and see that we're weaker (they supposedly don't know in Civ V unless they can actually "see" your units, and so far my experience leads me to believe this is true) they'll declare war on us most likely at a time we're not ready for it.
Being friendly with the AI civilizations will get us nowhere in Civ V with the way the diplomatic voting system works.
 
I wondered about the OB. Arabia are pretty weak so OB isn't an issue hopefully.

I was thinking after currency we could get construction as Masonary will only be 3 turns and Construction 5 (I think).

Use GScis to bulb towards Astro IMO.

After maybe a couple more cities (the Marble/ iron site to the east looks good (1NW of the Marble)) we need to get some culture buildings going IMO so we can get Patronage going.

Maybe some Cats would help if Askai decides to DoW. We could pick off his transports.

Ok, tech wise finish Currency hoping to get Machu Pichu for 20%:commerce: from :tr:, then get towards Construction for Colosseums. The +4:) from those will help our :mad: problem. In 5 turns our deals with Caesar & Monty will end so we'll get our :) back.

Would like to get The Rock of Gibraltar settled, also the island to N of that. I wish we could see our friend/enemy weights like in Civ IV Domestic Advisor.
 
I think settling on a hill near the marble is on ok place. Can't have a Windmill but still has a Iron Works to boost unit production.

The island N of arabia seems good as it scures that sea passage.

Just peaked at the save.

Looking ok ATM but one or two points.

Can we not garrison units in cities unless needed? Its annoying if you forget its there and need it.

We have done really well in our Mfg and GDP to get 1st and 2nd but our population sucks. We need an extended period of happyness to catch up in pop. Also another Maritime ally would help. Shame Japan is DoW on Oslo.

Please can we settle the marble site?

Maybe assign londons miner to be a sci spec to get GSci for Astro bulb.
