Tech mazes are overpowered

Science has basically been completely nerfed with this new change. Not a fan of it.
 
Yet another update, and now science is back, at least a little bit. The maze bonus for Steel, Electricity, etc. (top of 2nd page techs) is now 3000. I'm not sure how this scales across the whole tech tree, can anybody give some examples from earlier/later in the game?
 
It still isn't optimal, but this is the best improvement to mazes so far, imho.

When University was completed I saw the tech value go up to 2k.

Unfortunately, I went from collecting 8 moves per 427 science harvest to 6 moves for a 700 science harvest. So while the overall value went up, it now takes longer- and more harvests- to obtain the same result.

I'll weigh in on the 3k mazes in a bit.
