Just a little map I put together - I figured it was more suited to maps than scenarios.
You are the Industrial Age Romans with 7 cities, surrounded by 29 single city states, just starting out in the Ancient Age. There are locked teams, you versus them. You'll have some riflemen at the start.
All of the resources you need are available, however some will require you to protect them as they are near your borders. The enemies all have horses, iron and saltpeter plus two identical luxuries (the hope is that they might trade . . . don't know how succesful that'll be). All cities are fairly well balanced - identical terrain for pretty much all city radii (all 36 of them). It is probably best played on a medium/high difficulty level, with the agression turned up one or two notches.
Let me know how you find this. I'll warn you, it takes a bit of patience, as you'll find your self having to deal with attacks by large stacks of warriors, as well as spearmen wandering your lands.
