Mod Than Meets The Eye -- Preview & Discussion Thread

Yes, some of you may remember quite a while back when I made mentioned doing a Transformers Mod. Well, my goal was to have something concrete to share before I left for holidays this year. This has been a pet project for quite a while and the screenshots that I am posting do not do justice I feel. I have been pouring over many of the various tutorials and checking out some other great mods to get this thing going :coffee: and I am not sure when exactly the Beta will be released, but it is around the corner.

What I have done so far in modding as it relates to Transformers:
- used character Tech Specs in a spreadsheet to develop and assign all the numbers and attributes of the units - from cost all the way to whether or not they have ZoC or Precision Bombing
- Made the Civilopedia, Teletraan-1, nice and pretty
- used sound bites from cartoon in the unit animations. I have actually D/Led all the cartoons and have converted them to wav format. I actually purchased the full version of Goldwave so now I can use any line I want. I am really excited about the possibilities here, using memorable quotes from the series to given the units personalities

Things I still need to get this baby playable do are as follows:
- finalize improvements and wonders to give the Tech Tree the final tweak
- finalize voices and sfx for all units
- finalize resources, terrain types, their gfx and generate the map
- playtest and balancing, tiddy up Pedia

The real issue right now is deciding on the map size and layout. I would like this to be a mod more than a scenario. It could be both. I currently have the tech tree representing the 1st cartoon season. I plan to expand the tech tree after the first era to include elements from the later seasons of the cartoon, plus other concepts.

Anyway, here are some screenshots to get you excited, which will motivate me to continue when I get back. Any and all comments, suggestions, questions and requests are welcome.

Pop heads and specialists. I stumbled upon some great avatars online and used them to create the pop heads. This inspired me to develop some ideas for specialists that I don't think many people have thought about or used before. I have to see how they work, but they do look great.

Right now I am using units created by several people, including Kinboat and Wyrmshadow's Veritechs, Vuldacon's cars, mechs, etc. That is one area I hope to improve, if people would like to help out.
