With the addition of Archeology, I think it would be neat if some natural wonders had to be unearthed from antiquity sites. I know civ isn't realistic, but discovering manmade wonders like El Dorado or Solomon's Mines is silly. Who built them, Aliens? It would also open opportunities for new natural wonders, such as Herod's Tomb, Pompeii, Newgrange, etc...
In order to make uncovering them in foreign lands appealing, give the discoverer a free artifact and a % boost to tourism for a set number of turns.
