Mmh, my friend has a screenie from when he was shooting one guy in Stalker, and he somehow managed to kill the guy behind him first.

Somebody probably jammed the corpse in the burning barrel. When the stalkers take over the factory in cordon from bandits they usually gather the bodies next to one burning barrel. This screen is not from the factory though.

Fishing boat gets it.
Subchaser gets one in to the bow, didn't sink it which I find a little odd.
The second torpedo did it, but these guys are not giving up.
Japanese pilots lost their ride home.
Gunboat in rough seas. Flying between the waves. It was part of a task force consisting two gunboats and a destroyer.

This just happened to me. I was tracking a convoy, and was trying to navigate to a better position when I see that a destroyer is coming in on me - not as a result of spotting me, but simply as part of it's course. I trusted I was deep enough and prayed that my knowledge it hadn't spotted me was accurate. It was

Kan' it was the japanese midget sub in my screenshots. ^ That has happened to me too. That's too close.
I was attacking a convoy in SH3 once, I had torpedoed few ships and the escorts found me. Things looked pretty bad. Then I got the brilliant idea to hide under one of the torpedoed ships that wasn't sinking but had it's engines knocked out. I hid under a C2 cargo ship until the escorts had to leave and join with the convoy.

Worst close-encounter I had was in SH3, in hideous weather conditions. It did the standard jump out of time compression when my watchman spotted a ship, and I jumped on deck to look for it...it was a C2 Cargo ship, roughly ten metres away and bearing down on us. We just got out of the way as it continued along into the storm - I don't think it had even spotted us
That's a nifty trick. Going to have to try that sometime

I got run over by a T2 tanker in storm once. I've also been caught by destroyers and corvettes in bad weather. When a destroyer appears from the fog 300m away and steaming flank speed towards you it usually means death.
