Preview: OWNES I: The National Game

Federal Association peeps

1. Join the group, Nuka should have sent you an invitation.

2. It seems, that unless y'all have serious objections, I'm going to do everyone's schedules for them... I'll try to be as fair as possible with regards to travel but as I currently have the schedule set up, there's a) always a day between series for travel and b) no Sunday games. I'm doing this since it'll be a) faster and b) less confusing (except for me). :)

For the Federal Association, me and madviking are making all the schedules, do not fret :)

Crosspost with mv XD

Doing work for me?
Go right ahead.

Side note, I'll get my uniform up soon.

Logos are hard. This is the best I could jack from deviantart for inspiration.

Spoiler :

I don't know your stance on offensive logos Owen :p

I was sad I could find no goofy pictures of a cigarette smoking a cigarette. Probably a bit anachronistic for 1903.

Also, go right ahead madviking!

I'm going to officially offer to schedule exhibition games against the Railers, Royals, Barons, and Loons. Fine with home/away splits. I'm also happy to accept the Barnstormers' (revised) offer.

I'd like to extend an offer of exhibition games to the Barons, Blues, and Mohawks. I am hoping to get at least a home and away series with at least one of the teams. Will play away for the other two if those teams so desire.

The Half-Moons would not be adverse to playing a friendly exhibition game with the Americans sometime in the middle of the season, if they are willing to do so.

Fit it in to your schedules, y'all. Also, one may notice in this schedule a tradition for Baltimore- they always finish the season with a home game against the Mohawks.

EDIT: Sorry to make you revise again, North King. This is the last one, I promise, unless there is some major scheduling conflict in the league and it has to be changed (Which I doubt).

EDIT: Fixed for blue laws; the only sunday games are at the very end of the season, in St. Louis where they were legalized in 1902. This is the very final finalized schedule.

EDIT: We officially recognize any of North Kings' work, as it helps schedule everyone else.

Wee bit anachronistic, since it's the beginning of 1903.

Yeah, I know, but this was the only thing the internet had to work with. Plus, even though my team is technically named after the other kind of barnstorming, I really had this kind in mind, even though it is a bit anachronistic. Besides, within the decade it will have worked out, so let's just pretend this is a look into the future :goodjob:

Spring training games may work, but in the middle of the season is definitely not. Remember kids, National and Federal teams will not play against each other in the regular season :)

I think Spring Training games between the Barnstormers Giants and Smokes, Kings, Rebels, and Warriors are all good ideas.

What about a round of spring training games in Ohio between various teams? The Americans aren't thrilled about the prospect of traveling to alot of Exhibition games, but a jamboree of a sorts in Ohio could be useful

The Wheelers would not be opposed to playing regular season exhibition games versus the Railers and Kings.

We also support the idea of holding "spring training" in Ohio and tentatively claim Toledo.

I guess I'll volunteer to be madviking's counterpart on the other side. NA owners should state specific requests in the social group thread.

Interesting idea, pity I seem too slow to claim the only two cities I would have bothered to set up a team in. (New York and Washington) I will wait for the Western League to open up, if it ever does.

In the meantime, I wonder if you would allow teams to barnstorm, play other teams not a part of any Leagues, I.E local teams. This was popular in the time as it helped teams cover costs of transportation and lodgings.

Let me see if CFC is better at loading images than imgur.
The answer right now, surprisingly, is aye.
